I just found this piece, and quite enjoyed it. The change in characters was drastic, but believable. As a minor nitpick on one of the responses you made in one of your reviews, Elrond may not have been the smith that reforged Narsil into Andruil, but he was a lord of the Noldor, the Elven race best known for their craftsmen, and the great-grandson of Turgon Lord of Gondolin, who was famous for his metalwork, including several sculptures and at least one set of armor and weapons, so it is no small leap of faith to believe that he was capable of making elven swords, if not on par with Glamdrig (Gandalf's sword which was from Gondolin). Galadriel, who was also nobility among the Noldor, was occasionally known to craft things as well, the best known example were of course the cloaks worn by the fellowship after Lorien, which she made with the help of her handmaidens. Edit: Elrond was the great-grandson of Turgon, not grandson... forgot Earendil was Elrond's dad not Tuor...

Please, please continue! When is this? Have Galadriel and Elrond gone to the Uttermost West yet, and thus is Arwen married to Aragorn? Do Galadriel and Elrond remain mother and son-in-law, as Elrond married Celebrian, Galadriel's daughter? Will Elrond begin missing Celebrian, Elladan, Elrohir, and Arwen (his wife and children), and will Galadriel miss Celeborn and Celebrian (her husband and daughter)? Does Celebrian ever make an appearence, and how is she affected by the torture the Orcs in the Misty Mountains inflicted upon her?
Just read this again, because I had forgotten about it. Shame on me!
I still like the premise, but I have a suggestion/question.
Would/Could you think about bringing SG:1 into the mix? After all, two teenagers changing that much, literally overnight, is going to raise some eyebrows.
Comments from author:
As much as I love SG1 crosses (and I have to stop myself from crossing over too much) my counter-point would be ... it's Sunnydale! Although, I did say that even Xander's parents couldn't ignore the change...
Food for thought.
