This is fantastic -- I would love to see some of it from her point of view. Kudos.

It is not complete. You have to at least sketch out what happens up to when Buffy dies going after the Master. Does she make friends with Xander and Willow? Is Jesse saved? Does she meet Angel? What does she think of the vamp with a soul? Does Buffy let anyone help her against the dark? Does she survive the Master? This is just a chapter one. Please expand on it.

Review of chapter "The Story of a Girl" from Specks
Review:
That last line, about Buffy bending the spoon was absolutely heartbreaking and it works because you set up Giles' dread of the moment so so well. The whole thing followed such a natural progression and just...wow.

Also, I know it's not what you intended, but I keep wanting to finish the story title with "who cried a river and drowned the whole world" lol. Oh nineties.

Review:
This is really good, I like the Giles perspective on the situation. A Buffy perspective as a companion or follow-on piece would also be a good read I think.

Review:
Your Giles voice is very believable. I enjoyed the premise. In a way I've always been kind of surprised that Kendra wasn't more of an exception to the rule. It's hard to believe most watchers were cold heated enough to maintain that level of emotional distance from a child they have raised from a very early age, Giles emotionally attachment to her is perfectly natural and probably happens quite often it's just the other watchers don't let on to it.

I suppose this could have been part of your HP series. Isn't Harry grows up with someone other than the Dursleys a HP trope? I would love to see a Buffy POV chapter. Would you consider doing a potential!Faith story?

Review of chapter "The Story of a Girl" from LeaFairy
Review:
Wow, this was so completely original! I LOVE the idea of trained-potential!Buffy-- it's such a unique idea and has so many possibilities for her future. The idea of Buffy being taken (kidnapped) from her parents and so young to and given to Giles to train is just brilliant. How different would she be if she was trained form such a early age? Mostly likely a better Slayer no doubt, but what of friends? Would she be more pro-Council and go the "No friends, a Slayer is always alone route?" If so, she probably wouldn't last that long...

Your Giles POV in this was also spectacular. I thought it came off even better being from his prospective than rather Buffy's. *shrugs* I really not know why, I just for some reason felt really connected with his character here. His struggles with raising Buffy and his slowly questioning everything he was taught at the Council as what's best was just incredible.

Anyhoo, I really enjoyed this piece of fanfic! Thanks for writing!!!

oh man oh man - I've gotta say that I love the Giles characterisation in this. Also, the idea of the tale of Buffy being one told from the POV of the Librarian. Will they go to Sunnydale? Will Joyce en co be there? I know that a story is good when my immediate reaction is "where's the next chapter?"

I definitely vote for a Buffy POV chapter! At least she had Giles and not a Wesley-type. Or worse, Travers *shudder*.

Review of chapter "The Story of a Girl" from (Current Donor)WildMartin
Review:
This is a spot on depiction of Buffy and Giles, the 'Potential Years.' I guess Merrick is with some of the other slayers; he seemed to be the primary field watcher for several girls before his death to Lothos. Was this a one-shot or are you planning on expanding it further. It stands alone really well, but the idea of a Watcher-trained Buffy is compelling and I wouldn't mind seeing more chapters.
