Kind of enjoying this. Buffy's probably only in her mid-twenties. Although I'm glad she remembers as much as she does about the DCU... even if it is a bit sketchy and best.
But she doesn't have to tell all of the truth. Kryptonians are suspectable to magic, and her consciousness was magically poured into Kara's body.

I like that there are so many versions of Supergirl and Powergirl that Buffy only has the basics. Also interesting that a 15 year old with advanced science training is still in the head but not in the driver's seat.

Actually the idea of Supergirl merging with a Earth human was a major plotline in Peter David's Supergirl series. So there's precedence for what you're doing.
Interesting idea and I like how she is slowly learning how to use her powers. However, the Buffy here doesn't sound like the Buffy of the tv show.
