I've just reread this fic and realized I hadn't commented on it yet.
First off, I say kudos to developing a truly decent idea. I've found this story to be well written, well paced and definitely able to keep my interest.
That being said, I do have to say it's starting to feel like you're artificially "dumbing down" the Marvel universe. While I understand that the so-called Illuminati the "geniuses" at Marvel decided to develop are freaking morons of the highest caliber, a great many of the other heroes in the 'verse are not. Perhaps you've plans to demonstrate that later and if so, my apologies.
Second, I really have to call shenanigans on the introduction of the Spectre. The Spectre is a major deus ex machina, which is why DC so rarely uses him I believe. And seeing as how this is supposed to be taking place in the Marvel Universe, I believe that an entity of the Spectre's power showing up would have Eternity showing up to lay down some rules and even possibly the Living Tribunal.
All in all I am enjoying the story you're telling, I just feel it's starting to veer too far into DC is greater than Marvel.

It's sad to see that this story is inactive and incomplete, at only 5 chapters. Then again there are some that couldn't get anywhere as engaging as this story that are only one chapter long. hope you come back to this and continue please.

Great chap, and story, is Metropolis also around as it seems, Keystone, Central City, Themyscria and Gotham have come into being. I hope Graham, Forest and Riley can get away from the Initiative without becoming test subjects for Walsh. Is Dawn closer in age to the rest of the characters in the story? great interactions and characterizations, who is Joyce's father? please update soon.

Ethan was merely delayed in his attack on the Sanctum - he DID take down the Council (who were the ones that ordered the attempt on Buffy, only to have their termination team run into a horked-off Joyce). However, why did the Secret Society (minus Lex Luthor, thank Ghu) attack the SHIELD Helicarrier on what was basically a diversion mission? And why do I have the rather ugly feeling that either Strange (or possibly Spider Woman the disguised Skrull) was behind that?
Diversion? Yes - diversion (despite the SHIELD casualties). Something is fishy about why the SS showed up - and it's not Aquaman's aftershave.
