A very well written emotional story but I am disappointed to find the unannounced beginnings of a slash relationship.

Actually, it's classified as a slash story, and mentioned in the Pairings part of Chapter 1 - but I'm so used to writing Spike/Xander that maybe I forget... not everyone knows what "Spander" means. Sorry about that! For what it's worth, the first 5 chapters are totally gen and some of my best work. If you'd rather skip the male/male interaction (which will be minimal for another few chapters), you won't lose most of the plot. Thanks for reading, and reminding me to clarify the pairing.
