Wow! Much darker than I envisaged when I made the challenge, but well-written and with some wonderful additional concepts in there. I love the 'monstrous' aspect. A bit of Nietzche for inspiration?

I agree with Gideon, a dark fic and masterfully told. Buffy always did, and in all ways, fight the Slayer Spirit, especially where Angel was concerned. I can not say that I am sorry for how she dispatched the beast but I suppose it says something about me that I have no feelings but a small smirk at the end.

There's always interest in seeing what happens when someone gets pushed "over the edge". I've seen a lot of fics where Buffy becomes a sad little girl and cries and mopes...I didn't think thats what would happen when a supernatural boogeyman gets pushed too hard...I wrote the story based on the idea that when the boogeyman gets pushed to hard it does what it does best...

Well you certainly chose the right title for this one. You bring across the darkness inherent in the Slayer very well, something that Buffy struggled against all through the series. If she ever gave into it I could see something like this happening.
