I know there's that song titled 'Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy', but my grandmother had a bumpersticker rom the 70's that said it, and let me tell you nothing disturbs you more than when you realize your grandfather was that cowboy!

Funny thought, did you know those kinds of bumperstickers (save a *blank*, eat/ride/hug a *blank*), were specific to Washington state because of the Spotted Owls? The original was "Save a Spotted Owl, Hug a Tree" I believe.

Wonder what the person who came up with the original saying would think of how it got changed. I'm with you on shuddering at the grandparents or parents having that bumpersticker.

I'm not generally a fan of shorts--not enough on the page to sink your teeth into. But I enjoyed this and the previous story in the series. Love the humor and your take on Faith; her "voice" is perfect!

Wondered if you realize the potential this particular scenario offers though... The Chosen Two AND the Key stranded in another dimension together, and it's Harry Potter's universe? Has anyone tried this before? The closest I know of is an Anita Blake & Stargate SG1 crossover (FireWolfe's "New Life,New World, and they're still killing...") that has the two slayers stranded in Jean-Claude's St. Louis, leaving Sunnydale scrambling, and Cordy & Dawn left behind as new slayers... But that has quite a different dynamic, even before SG1's brought in. Maybe someone could flesh this out into a full-blown epic, or even a series. It's got potential... Maybe as a Challenge?

I think what I'd like to do is have Faith and Buffy jump from 'verse to 'verse, trying to get back to their own. Dawn will stay in the HP'verse 'cause she's married and happy and gonna have baby centaurs. I suppose I could open it up to requests for 'verses they could visit; situations they could encounter.
