Hey, Muse? It's been a while. Any chance of you giving some encouragement to this one? Not that there is anything wrong with what you have been encouraging! You are still one of my favorites, no matter what you are inspiring.
Comments from author:
I've got a bit done on the next chapter, but not enough to post yet.
Maybe this will get my muse's interest back in doing more with this.
Glad you're enjoying the stories.

This is possibly the most sensible Anitaverse cross I have seen.
Given the rite she was attempting, it's fairly easy to tell what happened to Willow.
While Xander has gotten himself some gifts, quite possibly psychic gifts at that, Wills... is a reanimator or an out and out necromancer.
On the other hand, a true necromancer can do more than control a vampire, she could finally settle the question as to whether Anitaverse vamps retain the same soul as their mortal lives, if any.
I notice Spike was not mentioned as being confirmed dead or alive. I don't see him surviving long, however, that chip being just the sort of thing to turn the entirety of Vamp America against him. Then there's the question of just what condition the Trio are in. As Jonathon used a bone for channeling his magic, I doubt he, at least, is going to be too happy...
On the gripping hand (sorry, mea culpa for all those leery of *The Mote In God's Eye*), if Warren made it through in one piece, he's actually got a shot at employment as a licensed executioner, once he's certified--for however long he lasts.
Comments from author:
Yeah, the changes in Willow are kind of self-evident, but I will tell you that those that you think you've seen aren't the only ones that have happened. ;-)
You'll be seeing more of the changes the Scoobies have undergone in the next chapter, and I will say that *everyone* is different than they were in the Scooby-verse. More than that, you'll just have to wait and see.
As far as who else might have been transported to this universe, you'll be seeing more about that in the next chapter. ;-)

Very interesting start, but where in the "Anita Blake" series does this take place and what are the pairings. I hope to read more soon.
Comments from author:
I'm still deciding where exactly in the Blake-verse timeline this will occur, since the Scoobies aren't going to be meeting any of the main AB characters for a few chapters yet, and I'm undecided about about which version of Anita I want them to meet. ;-)
Regardless, the timing isn't going to be major issue, since this story is going AU for everyone involved in a very major way. ;-)
Pairing at this moment are going to remain as in canon for most of the major characters - again, at least for a while.
Thanks for reviewing.

Um what? Sorry, but, is that the story? It just seems like it stops, no ending, nothing! Maybe if I had read more than one or two of the Anita Blake books some of this would make more sense, but, as it stands, I'm afraid this wasn't one of your better efforts buddy.
Sorry to be negative, but, I honestly don't get it.

P.S. After receiving your response: Okay, I'll give the next chapter or so a try, thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry, man, a brain fart made me mark this as complete. ;-(
There will be at least one, probably two more chapters yet in this arc of the story.

Great start, but it seems to be just a start and not a whole story. I can't believe this is actually The End. Nice shout out with the reference to 'Grantville'. Lol! Poor Anya. Dead again. At least the non-resurrection of Buffy means the First Evil won't be messing things up in their old universe. But now Faith will have to get to get her s**t together. I really hope there will be more to your story as I wonder just what the Scoobies are now in the Anitaverse.
Comments from author:
I apologize yet again. This story is not complete. There will be more to come.
As far as Anya's death is concerned, I'm complying with the challenge's requirements.
And the First now has nothing to work with to allow him to bedevil the Scoobies' universe any longer.

Ok. Interesting so far. I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the story. I am curious to discover how all of them have changed, and can't wait to see what happens when Anita and crew find them! However, you really shouldn't have listed this a "done". This is obviously only chapter one!
Comments from author:
You're right, this story is NOT complete yet. A brain fart had me mark it as done. ;-(
And you'll see some of the Scoobies' changes in the next chapter or two.

Oooh I love AB crossovers. Poor Anya, though. I remember a story that had a similar method of shoving the characters into a different reality and she was killed then, too. Loved the comments on the Geek Trio- they *would* mess everything up that badly. Andrew's a character who either made me laugh or rage, no in-between. I'm hoping you continue writing this verse (this is possibly even more interesting than your HP xover time travel series); I'd like to see what exactly the changes done to the Scoobies turn out as. I can guess- darkness and attempting a resurrection probably means Willow's a necromancer now and Xander might have some shifter in him... wonder if there are analogues to the gang here, with the way they are super-powered it could be interesting to see the contrast.
Comments from author:
Glad you enjoyed the story so far.
As far as what changes the Scoobies have experienced, you'll see some more of them in the next chapter. ;-)
