Review:
Oddly, I'm okay with the idea of "good vamps" vs. "Bad vamps." I think the Anita Blake vamps are distinct enough (and have variety enough) that even if Spike is manifest, he'll have a place and (no doubt at all) a soul (especially given that he *loves* Dawn like a sister, etc). Might even surprise some folks.

But I can see the Scoobies taking a real hard line on the "Bad Vamps," and getting their marshal spurs on, so to speak. And I think, btw, that the Scoobies are savvy enough that they can figure out the difference and make those choices. That is, if they think things through. I think this is where Tara will really balance out Willow though - both as she is a "light" and Willow is a "dark" for values of both (not as a judgment, just as a frame of reference). Heck, I think she might balance out most of the Scoobies in many ways... She was very earth mother and I can only see that increasing in the Anitaverse.

I can also see that maybe Xander's Hyena may come into play (or not...depends entirely on story direction).

I'm glad you're not rushing an encounter with Anita just to have one. I am, meanwhile, looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Holy cow I'm just blabbing on and on here.... Okay, obviously I'm looking forward to your rendition. I shall shut up and quit "back seating."
Comments from author:
Glad you're enjoying the story, to elicit such a variety of comments and suppositions. ;-)

And I'm definitely not rushing the inevitable meeting between Anita and the Scoobies., because it's going to be so much fun establishing the ground work for that 'close encounter.' ;-)

Somehow, I can't really see the Scoobies enthusiastically embracing the idea of Jean-Claude acting as the purported monarch of any city they might choose to live in.

And you *know* that Spike would be referring to Jean-Claude as a 'frilly-shirted poof' or a 'pansy' the moment after he first saw him, while Xander is going to be asking Jean-Claude if he ever was in the movie "Men In Tights' or something similar. ;-)

Review:
Yet another of your superior stories. I just hope you set the Scoobies in the Anitaverse before the Anitaverse's author turned it to complete crap. I really enjoyed the first books but quit reading when I just couldn't take all the sex and 'romance' any more. I always thought the idea of vampires hiring lawyers and getting their 'legal rights back' was such a wonderfully logical idea. Totally insane, but wonderfully logical for a very odd value of wonderfully logical.

But I am wondering if any of the Scoobies is some kind of a were in this universe since Dawn is evidently a Slayer. I wonder if the 'darkness' in Willow's aura is 'weredom'. Of course the idea of Tara being some kind of an Alpha were makes me giggle. Tara as a were-grizzly bear would be some kind of awesome.
Comments from author:
You'll be getting some indications fairly soon about *when* the Scoobies arrived in the AB-verse, since they're going to be running into some of the characters in the near future.

Your speculations are quite interesting and at least some of them will be directly address in the next couple chapters.

And Tara as a were-grizzly bear would simply be *fantastic*!!! ;-)

Questions.....
"That it had also happened to be the same night that certain people (whom the gang had later determined through various divination rituals had been three local idiots looking to establish themselves as the newest Big Bads in town) had lost control when they tried to tap into the Hellmouth for the energy they'd intended to empower themselves with was another thing they'd had absolutely no control over."

How did they "divine" about the (other) idiots if _they_ are in another dimension?

How did Buffy get there, since (A) their ritual had been totally interrupted before completion and (B) why is she with them instead of wherever or in whatever condition SunnyHell was after the mega-oops?
Comments from author:
First off, divination describes pretty much any method of getting information, including contacting extra-dimensional entities and questioning them about whatever subject the diviner is seeking information. That is basically the method the Scoobies will eventually use to learn what is responsible for sending them to their current location.

Second, the resurrection ritual was disrupted before completion, which merely means that it was not completed successfully. That also means that there can be any number of possible outcomes for the subject and participants. Buffy's current presence will be discussed in the next few chapters.

Review:
At least they're getting lots of info, so they'll avoid many mistakes they'd otherwise make. Internet access will help a LOT. So they'll know the general legal minefields (using magic to hurt someone is an automatic death sentence; they shouldn't mention being familiar with demons. At all...and so on).
One thing to check on--do any of them have dopplegangers in this world? Is there a Willow Rosenberg etc? (I very much doubt there's a Buffy tv series in this world...). They should do a search for each of their names just in case.
Find out their exact current location (with their luck right next to St. Louis). Hm, whatever city, the master of that city won't appreciate their entering said city without asking his permission first, as they're supernatural types...
The vamps in this world are a lot more powerful than the ones they're used to. Ironically a bit like the "Dracula" Buffy met earlier....
Comments from author:
Everything you've mentioned will be addressed in the next chapter or two.

And I'm hoping that my muse will focus a lot of her attention on this story in the near future, so that I can hopefully close out this and some of my other older stories.

Review:
Yeah, and now they're stuck in a world where the general government is stuck on an idiot path concerning things like vampire, and a control rage head like Anita is stumbling around, yeah, could see her and Buffy going at it hammer and tongs.
Comments from author:
I can confidently assure you that Anita and the Scoobies are NOT going to become best buddies, in any way, shape or form. ;-)

Hey, Muse? It's been a while. Any chance of you giving some encouragement to this one? Not that there is anything wrong with what you have been encouraging! You are still one of my favorites, no matter what you are inspiring.
Comments from author:
I've got a bit done on the next chapter, but not enough to post yet.

Maybe this will get my muse's interest back in doing more with this.

Glad you're enjoying the stories.

Review:
This is possibly the most sensible Anitaverse cross I have seen.

Given the rite she was attempting, it's fairly easy to tell what happened to Willow.

While Xander has gotten himself some gifts, quite possibly psychic gifts at that, Wills... is a reanimator or an out and out necromancer.

On the other hand, a true necromancer can do more than control a vampire, she could finally settle the question as to whether Anitaverse vamps retain the same soul as their mortal lives, if any.

I notice Spike was not mentioned as being confirmed dead or alive. I don't see him surviving long, however, that chip being just the sort of thing to turn the entirety of Vamp America against him. Then there's the question of just what condition the Trio are in. As Jonathon used a bone for channeling his magic, I doubt he, at least, is going to be too happy...

On the gripping hand (sorry, mea culpa for all those leery of *The Mote In God's Eye*), if Warren made it through in one piece, he's actually got a shot at employment as a licensed executioner, once he's certified--for however long he lasts.
Comments from author:
Yeah, the changes in Willow are kind of self-evident, but I will tell you that those that you think you've seen aren't the only ones that have happened. ;-)

You'll be seeing more of the changes the Scoobies have undergone in the next chapter, and I will say that *everyone* is different than they were in the Scooby-verse. More than that, you'll just have to wait and see.

As far as who else might have been transported to this universe, you'll be seeing more about that in the next chapter. ;-)

Review:
Very interesting start, but where in the "Anita Blake" series does this take place and what are the pairings. I hope to read more soon.
Comments from author:
I'm still deciding where exactly in the Blake-verse timeline this will occur, since the Scoobies aren't going to be meeting any of the main AB characters for a few chapters yet, and I'm undecided about about which version of Anita I want them to meet. ;-)

Regardless, the timing isn't going to be major issue, since this story is going AU for everyone involved in a very major way. ;-)

Pairing at this moment are going to remain as in canon for most of the major characters - again, at least for a while.

Thanks for reviewing.

Um what? Sorry, but, is that the story? It just seems like it stops, no ending, nothing! Maybe if I had read more than one or two of the Anita Blake books some of this would make more sense, but, as it stands, I'm afraid this wasn't one of your better efforts buddy.

Sorry to be negative, but, I honestly don't get it.

P.S. After receiving your response: Okay, I'll give the next chapter or so a try, thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry, man, a brain fart made me mark this as complete. ;-(

There will be at least one, probably two more chapters yet in this arc of the story.
