Good story
(My mother when she was pregnant would get cravings for chocolate. Only when she was pregnant did she ever crave choclate.)

Lol! Nicely done.
While my mother was carrying me, she had such cravings for Skippy Peanut Butter that when I was born my father nicknamed me "Skippy". Luckily it eventually got shortened to 'Skip'. So you are lucky to never having any cravings as according to my Dad, my Mom put peanut butter on everything, including meatloaf and peas. Shudder.
Comments from author:
I had a cousin who put (regularly, apparently) tomato sauce (er, the ketchup type, not passata) on ice cream. Of course, HE was a kid, so he had no excuse.

Congratulations.
The issue is, naturally, hormones.
PMS has wild symptoms, and they exhibit to some degree in 9 out of ten women. (This is buffered somewhat by chemical contraception as it helps regulate the hormones.)
Pregnancy also raises holy hormonal hell in women, full stop.
I expect cravings are the most fun hormonal symptom to depict in shows and stories, is all.
Again, congratulations on avoiding the cravings (and, I hope, other hormonal horrors), you're in the top ten percentile!
Comments from author:
Yep. No PMS in my family, either.
