This was a great start for a story that has a lot of potential. It seems unlikely that the NID wouldn't try to interfere at some point. I could see both Jack and Daniel helping the Scoobies deal with their loss, and Jack protecting them when the NID comes calling. The Jack/Xander relationship looks promising. I hope you'll return to this story and give us more chapters some day.
