Review:
I just stumbled across this little gem and I adore it! Rona is an interesting and fun choice to turn into a werewolf and I like friendship you're showing between her and Buffy.

I'm also enjoying the little details such as the tidbit about Slayers racing to become werewolves due to their slight case of immortality and the werewolves reactions to Buffy feel like you're building up to something.

Hopefully the new book coming out this year inspires you to comeback to this story.
Comments from author:
Thank you so much, Ava! I really do want to pick this one up and finish it. I have many plans for it, ones that include all the points you've mentioned above. :) Though I've been lacking a little in the inspiration department, as you said, the new book is coming out in just a few weeks, so I'm hoping it will kick my tail in gear!

I like how this is shaping up & I really hope you plan to keep working on this story at some point. I really like how you've addressed the problem of werewolf hierarchy, male/female attitudes versus the empowered slayers. I adore Patricia Briggs and the Mercedes Thompson/Alpha Omega world and I'm looking forward to reading more. Thanks for writing!

If it wasn't for the risk of dying during the transformation, then not controlling the wolf, then being subservient forever, wolf/immortality wouldn't be half bad. Heh. I doubt any slayer would be an Omega, but you never know, could happen.
Things will get sticky if one of the wolves picks her as a mate.... she's been there/done that on the supernate boyfriends...

Review:
Alright consider me confused. Buffy is the Queen of Slayers being the oldest and most experience Slayer. The way you write it, it's like the Slayer has to show them respect and the other way around not so important. The Slayer is everything Judge, Jury and executor if necessary. She normally decides who gets killed or not when they are not killing her in that fight, that is. To get respect you have to show respect. They did nothing so far to gain that respect. They also want to punish a wolf or pack member who did something wrong, I can understand that but what if they disagree with that decision. The morals are different than in Buffy's world.

When she saw Rona it's normal that she wants to know how she is doing. They didn't even giving her any chance to have a proper talk to her. Buffy would never agree with that. They are forgetting that Rona belongs to the Slayer-line before she became a wolf. She has to learn how to deal with her wolf but she is still a defender of the innocence first. The Slayer in her will always be stronger then her wolf-side why because it's older and exists longer.

To me it's if they want to show Buffy they are in charge forgetting, that if Buffy or the Council wants too, they can make things very, very difficult for them. The Council maybe needs them but they also need the Council. If you are mixing two worlds together You can't make the wolfs stronger than the Slayers because how would they fight evil when they can never win. equal I agree but stronger will be difficult. By this I mean figurative. Because Buffy fought stronger enemies and won.

Now enough rant from me. Did Leah put something in Buffy's coffee to make her sick because Buffy never gets sick. I can only remember one time. The one where she had to spent time in the hospital. If Leah did that what will Bran do. He wanted to punish his own wolfs or pack-members. And when she did Poisson Buffy the Council will not be happy. So what will he do to gain the trust that he is fit to punish his own pack-members or all the wolfs who don't behave. And what will Rona do if somebody tries to hurt Buffy that way.

You did very good job and I hope you will write another update very soon. Good story and forgive me for the rant I wrote down but that's something that bothered me the first time I read and still did the second time I read it again. Okay I stop now. Don't forget to update.

edit: Giggle a lot. You are as bad as I am. Oh and Buffy may not kill people but she will if she has to. She had no problem with the knights. She won't like it but she would. Everybody always thinks that Slayers won't kill people, but in the time they put the spirit of a demon in Sineya moral standard were low and it was almost normal to kill each other for a piece of meat. Giles told Buffy in the first episode that the law would handle the human race and Buffy the supernatural one and he only told her because she asked. Darn I only wanted to write A LOT. Well can't wait what will come next I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for answering.
Comments from author:
I’m going to explain some of this in the next chapter, but I’ll try to answer some of your questions here as well.

I’m not sure how familiar you are with the Mercy Thompson series, but Bran Cornick is over 2,000 years old and extremely powerful. Even the fae hesitate to do anything against him. Aside from being able to draw on the power of all werewolves in North America, he is able to use a fair bit of magic. Plus, due to pack dynamics, werewolves have been numerous and highly organized since their creation. So it’s not that they’re stronger than slayers, but they are much better organized and more of an established presence in the supernatural world in the sense that Bran himself (and other older wolves) has dealt with a lot of the vampires, fae, etc., as opposed to the slayer, who is powerful and scary in her own right, but who has also been by herself up until now and changes every few years.

In terms of the respect, it’s not that Buffy’s bending over backward to accommodate them, but she’s trying not to rock the boat... so far. And they’re not being disrespectful, but she is a visitor (a self-imposed one at that). Also, don’t forget that werewolves have proved to be an issue in the Buffy verse slayage-wise, because they are still people, if a bit hot-tempered; more importantly, they aren’t evil. And while Rona might have been a slayer first, it’s important that she learn how to control the wolf; otherwise, she can be a danger to herself and to others. For instance, the smell of blood can set her off, making it very difficult for her to protect a wounded innocent. I’ll also suggest that Buffy’s inability to see Rona might not be all Bran’s fault. Rona might be having a hand in it as well... But yes, the morality among werewolves is VERY different, something that will be addressed in later chapters.

Phew! I think that’s most of your questions/issues. I hope this helps! Like I said, I’ll go into this over the next few chapters, too. As for the next chapter, I’m starting on it now! :)

Thank you for the review!

Just read this, I don't know much about the series I'm afraid, but I think the story is interesting.
I like the fact that Buffy is not submissive to anyone, even though Charles tries to be dominant without success :D
Also, I look forward to finding out why Buffy is sick, I bet it was Leah with the coffee!

Review:
clearly this is a story where the BTVS world is distinctly secondary to it. And therefore common sense things in the BTVS world are ignored. So one has to look at it that way
Comments from author:
Sorry this story isn't your cup of tea and that you think I'm ignoring some common sense things/making the BtVS world secondary! Obviously, I disagree, but to each his own. I just don't see a 2,000+ year old werewolf acting much different toward a slayer, who up until now, has been a flash in the pan; but again, that's just my point of view. Also, you mentioned in an earlier review that you don't really like the Mercedes Thompson series and stopped reading it, so I can imagine it would be difficult to like a story where you strongly dislike one of the fandoms it's based on.

Thanks for giving it a shot anyway!

Brother Wolf licked his chops at the challenge, and Charles had to push the wolf back.

hehee ;)

I am so happy you updated!! I really love this story. There SO needs to be more Charles stories! I think he and Buffy would be a great match :)
Comments from author:
Thank you, Luna! I really appreciate your comments (particularly since this story doesn't seem to sit too well with other reviewers!). And yes, I love Charles and wish there were more stories about him. As for him and Buffy... I agree, but they are both very stubborn people. :)

Review:
Rona as a slayer-wolf is weird... one would think her inner slayer would make her an alpha...but who knows. Slayers are susceptible to magic (remember eps when Buffy is "oh as a slayer I'm probably immune" then turns out not to be..)
Any chance she'll finally talk to Xander/Willow?
Comments from author:
It is a strange dynamic, which is why I wanted to explore it. Rona is dominant; there's no doubt about that. But females can't be Alphas or even dominant in werewolf hierarchy, which obviously is an issue (one that will be explored in upcoming chapters). And yes, I think slayers are susceptible to magic, too. Catherine curses Buffy, Drusilla hypnotizes Kendra, Buffy is 'amplified' through the spell invoking the First Slayer, etc. So why not werewolf pack magic?
As for talks with the Scoobies... I won't rule it out...
Thank you for the review!
