I liked it. Good job on the "come with me if you want to live" vibe, plus a very convincing Xander. How're the SunnyD crew going to react to an escaped convict and a one-eyed White Knight?

Blockbuster chapter! I love crazy/Xander hauling around a whole bag full of nitro and scaring Faith out of a years growth! Sunnydale won't know what hit it :)

Thanks for sharing this, I really enjoyed it and hope someone takes you up on the offer of running with it. I just hope they do justice to what you've started here.

That's why I'd like to hand over my notes, if someone does offer to carry on. Just to think what Xander would have to go through to casually "acquire" two bodies, stuff them full of explosives and then drive around in a car with a bag full of Nitro.

Scary thought, isn't it. Well the plan was he would turn out to be the poster child for Post Traumatic Stress, survivors guilt and shell shock. In other words he has been driven insane, going as far as branding himself with a burn scar for every one of the Scoobies and it wasn't just going to be what happened to them.
I was toying with the idea of opening the story with a Flashforward to a briefing against Skynet, where Xander's sitting in the dark, stroking a set of carved wooden figures. Each one representing the gang. When one of the dozen or so Tec-com solders saw him the whole room was to go silent, save for one terrified kid who would wet himself and whisper that they were all dead. The point being that in just about every mission Xander was involved in he'd be the only survivor, no matter what that mission was.

Neat story idea. I'd assume that in the original timeline Faith survived Judgment Day precisely because she was in prison (lots of concrete/steel protection against blast effects) then naturally fought skynet. One potential problem with this story is, Xander sent back to protect Faith, fine, but wouldn't he be equally concerned with getting to Buffy/Willow to warn them? After all the only reason Buffy & Willow weren't known as great resistance fighters was because they were probably killed in the nuclear bombardment; absent that they'd be just as important as Faith, surely? And not expected by Skynet either... ie he'd get 2 slayers for the price of one in effect. Hm...other possbilities story-wise--hooking up with John Connor/Cameron/Sarah Connor as a group & trying to prevent Judgment Day....

Well something like that. To be honest I haven't thought that far ahead. I've made a couple of notes on the characters that could be involved, but like I said I ain't going anywhere with this one. That's up to whoever picks it up.
