Review of chapter "The Dawn Arriving" from Harry
Review:
I'm not surprised that there was a big party after the Mayor was destroyed. And seeing Booth was a treat. Are we going to see any Bones crossovers in the future? Be interesting to see Brennan's reaction to seeing Booth and Angel. Now, as for Spike and Dru? This should be INTERESTING! Dru may be crazy, but she is a seer. And that makes her dangerous at times.
Comments from author:
Glad that you enjoyed seeing Booth! Yes, there will be more Bones in the sequel. Yeah, Brennan's gonna be completely thrown to find out that there's really a supernatural world. Her world view is gonna get turned on its head!

Dru and Spike are definitely dangerous. The question is who they are dangerous to! Stay tuned.

Thank you for making your way through this. I hope you had fun.

Peace,

Review of chapter "Graduation Day" from Harry
Review:
Well, the Mayor is gone, as is Amy and the Troll, Snyder. And the DRI is going to get more funding. I think, as I mentioned before, that the Council is going to have a hard time getting the Slayers back under their thumbs. With so many people and agencies knowing about Sunnydale and slayers, I think that the Council is going to have to rethink the way it treats slayers, otherwise they may end up in the new version of the Battle of New Orleans!
Comments from author:
It's a brand new world... and the council may not have to wait for the First to smack them down. I love the image of the Battle of New Orleans for the Council! I have plans for the council and Mr. Travers... stay tuned!!

Review of chapter "A little Fight Music" from Harry
Review:
If Abby could work out a way to learn potions by either video conference or some other way that Snape could SEE what she was doing, I think that the Professor would be slightly impressed with her. And if I know Abby, she WILL want to learn as much as she can in regards to potion making. That might drive Snape nuts trying to answer all her questions.

As for the Slayers, I think that the Council is going to find themselves in a LOT of trouble if they start messing with Buffy and/or Faith. The fact that so many groups and agencies now know about Sunnydale, slayers and The Hellmouth, is going to make it VERY hard for the Council to continue on their usual path. No, they are about to hit a MAJOR speed bump on their Long and Winding Road.
Comments from author:
Well, the council is gonna find themselves in a lot of trouble if they start messing with Buffy and Faith because quite a few people know about them and care... the agencies themselves don't officially know about the slayer... but G Callen, Gibbs and the others would have no problem calling in all the favors they're owed if anything were to happen... G in particular... his daughter is his ONLY relative. His ONLY connection to Maureen. He's not gonna let anything happen to her if he can help it.

Luna is actually the one in charge of potions now. Snape sadly is dead.

Review of chapter "Brothers in Arms" from Harry
Review:
Abby is descended from witches? And she KNOWS about the Council? YES! I LOVE ABBY! My favorite Goth on TV. *The ONLY Goth that I know on TV!* And if there is ANYONE that Gibbs will listen to, its Abby. Now Jethro, be good and listen, before Abby decides to use that Voodoo that she can do, and turns you into a FROG!
Comments from author:
I really enjoyed creating Abby's back story for this story. It was so much fun! I want to write more Abby and LJ Gibbs magic! I love Abby. I think she's one of the smartest and coolest people on TV. Yes, Jethro will need to listen... and listen good. It's more important than he knows.

Review of chapter "Stayin' Alive" from Harry
Review:
Gibbs, this is ONE TIME you should be listening to Abby's instincts! There is something going on, something in the magic this night, that spells TROUBLE! And if you don't listen Jethro Leroy Gibbs, you will NOT be singing and dancing to Bee Gees music any time at all. You will be DEAD!
Comments from author:
Yes, he should. But we have a saying where I come from. "Those who don't hear will *feel*" He's gonna have to feel the consequences and see the truth for himself. No singing, no dancing, but yes, staying alive!

Review of chapter "Into the Night" from Harry
Review:
Well, we know that Amy is not a practitioner of Magic, per SE. but I don't think we have seen the last of her. As for what was found out about Willow, THAT blew me away! I mean, I knew that Red had potential, but to hear from McDougal and Potter, that Red got one of THE most powerful wands is saying something! To compare her to a faucet is saying something indeed. And, many of these old songs that you are using, are VERY good and recognizable. Maybe the next time you do a story with music lyrics in it, I do have a request: One of MY favorite groups. Either KC and the Sunshine Band, Styx, or maybe Steely Dan.
Comments from author:
No, we have not seen the last of Amy, unfortunately. She's gonna be around for a little while, anyway...

Yes, Willow... she's the waterfall compared to the water faucet. She's scary powerful. She wasn't supposed to burn down the entire city hall, just the surveillance room. That was just how powerful she is.

I'm glad you're enjoying the song choices. I'm surprised I haven't used a Styx or Steely Dan song yet... I also love KC, but I'm not sure about their lyrics for a chapter, but maybe for a 'party' chapter.

"Keep it coming love... don't stop me now..." "I'm your boogie man..."

I can't believe I haven't used Renegade in one of my stories yet. gotta fix that!!

*Snape impersonation* Mr. Potter, you are late! Sorry about that but I COULDN'T HELP IT! But it was good to see Potter, Minerva and Luna there to help with some of the problems with people that had been turned into animals. Time to be TCB: EVERY DAY! TCB and working overtime!
Comments from author:
Yes, well, sometimes you need a wizard, my friend! I just had to bring them in. I'm so glad you enjoyed my introduction of the HP crowd. It was so much fun bringing them in!

Review of chapter "If we can hold on through the night..." from Harry
Review:
Angel may need to take off for Africa in the near future, if he wants ANY sort of relationship with Xander! That may be the one place he can find the answer for what he is seeking. Now, I can understand what he said about Tony Harris: If it came down to either letting Xander get killed or Tony being killed, after Xander had left, there WOULD have been no choice in the matter! It would have been Bye Bye Tony, even if it meant loosing Xander and nightmares for years.

As for Riley and Faith, those two have a unusual relationship. Riley doesn't want to bed her, yet with what she has done in her past, she has earned a lot of respect from Captain Missionary. Graham and Buffy: Those two are going at it Hot and Heavy whenever they get the chance! In fact, Buffy is acting in many ways, like Faith used to in the TV series! I think that these two need to sit down and TALK!
Comments from author:
Angel will definitely have to do something. Yes, Angel would definitely kill for Xander. But then, Angel would also die for him, and I find that most people who are willing to die for someone are also quite capable of killing to protect them, even if killing doesn't come as naturally to them as it does to Angel. Yes, Angel's soul would have nightmares and he would regret losing Xander, but he would protect Xander even if it meant losing Xander in his life.

Riley is a gentleman. And unlike his situation with Buffy, he doesn't feel as if Faith is stronger than him in every way. He feels as if he can take care of her and I think he'll find it easier dealing with the fact that she could bench press him and an SUV and probably at the same time! Captain Missionary! I'll have to remember that. It sounds exactly like a 'Spike' kind of line!

Yeah, Graham and Buffy. The kids are allright. Buffy's not gonna be going from man to man, so she won't be doing a 'faith'... but she and Graham have a very intense relationship because Buffy's discovering her sexual self in a way she never did after Angel broke her heart and then Parker stamped on it. They'll talk eventually. I hope so, anyway!

Review of chapter "The Lie is Dead" from Harry
Review:
Xander, you are in a no win situation here. If you give the mayor the box, Cordy lives, but he gets to Ascend. You DON't give him the box, he kills Cordy, kills you, and still ascends. As I said, no win situation.
Comments from author:
Yes, but Xander is not alone. And Xander isn't gonna give the mayor his box without a fight. There are always alternatives if you won't give up the fight!

Review of chapter "Dancin' in the Street!" from Harry
Review:
Daddy? Faith found her FATHER! And with what she figured out from her moms birth certificate, mom was more of a sister age wise than a mother. But Faith has found a dad, gotten herself a MALE watcher she can work with, I mean, this is going to be GREAT for her! And dad may be a Fed, but he is quickly learning about the night life in Sunnydale. Guy is no fool!
Comments from author:
Yep. I gave her a daddy! A daddy who has the slayer gene (that's how come he had a slayer dream). do you recognize him from NCIS-LA?

Yes, Faith has a dad. Wes is becoming a watcher worth the name. She needs males who will treat her decently in her life. Dad is a fed, but dad is also a veteran and really, really good in a fight. No, he's no fool. G Callen is a truly dangerous man -- and I mean that as the utmost compliment! :-)

Review of chapter "The Loneliness Inside of Me" from Harry
Review:
I think that the talk that Xander had with Faith cleared up A LOT of what was working on him. And, it gave Faith something to think about as well. In many ways, I see Faith and Buffy becoming like sisters. Slayer sisters, yes, but sisters in other ways. And that is something that Buffy has needed for a LONG time! And no going down the dark path for Faith! NO SIRREE BOB! Faith has found a anchor in Buffy and Joyce and they are NOT going to let go of her!
Comments from author:
I'm so glad you've stuck with this and that you seem to be enjoying it! :-) I appreciate the faith you've placed in me.

I wanted to give Faith a new story -- and a new role. She's being a sister to Xander as much as she's going to find herself being to Buffy. Both Xander and Faith need a new kind of family, and I want to build it for them... so much has changed for them both and the changes are gonna keep on coming.

Yes, Faith has found an anchor... but she's gonna find so much more... and so will Xander, Buffy and even Willow.

Well, you TOLD me that someone was going to crash the party, and that it wasn't going to be vampires! Looks like Wilkins is going to find a LOT of people waiting to take him on when graduation day comes. Sunnydale PD, IRS agents, BAU, FBI, the Initiative, just to name a few.
Comments from author:
You have no idea how many interesting people are gonna show up!!! More will be revealed, I promise! Well, you already know it's gonna get interesting... just read on!! They're gonna party like it's 1999!! Oh wait... it is 1999!

Review of chapter "Reunited" from Harry
Review:
Finally! The X-man is getting to meet his moms family! And WHAT a family! This is the sort of family that anyone would be willing to have. Now, its time to see about a party with Xander and his friends. If Buffy is going to be in it, along with Faith, the undead are NOT going to crash it!
Comments from author:
No, the undead won't be crashing it... who crashes it will be way more interesting. I loved creating Xander's new family. I always thought he deserved something better. (don't we all?) Hope you'll stick around and see what else this story has in store. I think it's one of my best.

Review of chapter "In the Suitcase on the Left..." from Harry
Review:
Normally, I don't read Slash. I prefer Femslash. BUT this story is SO well done, I had to comment. But the story so far is VERY well written! And what you had done to Tony Harris, I had NO problem with! A man who beats his wife and son is good for nothing but VAMP FOOD! Tie him on a stake, put a big sign on him saying "ALL YOU CAN EAT!" And the Martina McBride song: I know it. I have listened to the Sean Hannity show on the radio around here, when we got it. And I recognize the song as the opening song from his show. Thank you for using it, in a place that it truly fit.
Comments from author:
I'm so glad you gave this a chance. I try for my stories for them to be about people, not about sex, even those that have sex within. I feel it to be a high compliment that you've even managed to give it a try, in spite of your misgivings. I have yet to encounter a straight male who doesn't prefer femslash (or a straight female who doesn't prefer slash) - I think it's that idea that if one is good, more is always better. If we can see our two favorite characters together, it's often more fun than putting them with the opposite sex.

Yes, Tony. I have no use for abusers. I really have a hard time wishing him well. I was really surprised when he ended up alive in my other story, but I think that was for Xander, who had unfinished business he needed to resolve.

As for the Martina McBride song. I love it. I find it interesting that Sean Hannity would use it as his theme, as I believe you'll find that Martina McBride is a lot more liberal than most country singers... anyway, I love country music (among many other kinds of music) - I can identify with the stories of family and life... My taste runs more to country made before the year 2000, because the recent 'girls, trucks, booze and river party' song trend does NOT appeal to
me.

I have read this story quite a few times and I find the same joy in it every time I read it. I really hope that you post a sequel to this, I'd love to read more about them!
Comments from author:
The sequel is in the works. I am so glad you enjoy it. I really enjoyed writing it. It was really outside my comfort zone and required me to find the characters very carefully.

I have written 1/2 dozen chapters for the sequel, but not the first few yet, so not ready for posting... but it's still eager to be written so it will be.

Thank you

Peace,
