I enjoyed this story. I like how you set it before the Southern Vampire novels, so that I didn't have to worry about keeping up with the show or any of the new books (I only read the first three). I think you captured the televised version of Eric quite well, and Buffy also. I also... well, I don't want to say _liked_, so let's go with _appreciated_, that you allowed Tara to die. Too many writers rewriting the sixth season (including me) find ways to save her.

I do think the writing was a tad clunky at times (and overly descriptive on Buffy's clothing as it happens), and I would suggest going back to the chapters in third-person and just revising them to be first-person, rather than shifting midway through.

Overall, I think this was pretty good, and I look forward to the next one. Which I'm going to go read now. 'scuse me.

Well all I can say is that it BETTER NOT be over! :P Lovely story, nice characterisations. Buffy is Buffy and Eric is Eric. I would love to see how Eric handles being on the Sunnydale hellmouth.
