That was delightful. I guess "Harry" was broken already from the Malfoys and felt being given the sock was his license to not be a house elf anymore. If Gringott's recognises the claim, the once Dobby may be the final straw for Delores before the toad has a heart attack, as he'd be Lord Potter if you go with certain fanon ideas!
