Male Slayers. Oh, that most certainly throws a *lench* in the PTB's plans (and the First's plans as well). What's worse (for the bad guys) is that they have NO room to complain because it's all *their* fault. Gotta love that enhanced healing factor giving Xan-man his eye back. And Rupert Giles, the first Watcher-turned-Slayer? That's actually the second-biggest *crusterfuque* in Watcher fanfic (only topped when a Watcher from a nother show turned out to be an Immortal). Apparently *both* sets of Watchers' Councils had encounters with Conficius.
Comments from author:
Well, the Scoobies have never been all agreeable to going along with other people's/beings' plans before this, so why should they start now? ;-)

And it's always fun when you can screw over your opponents by having their own actions be responsible for their problems. ;-)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from djhardim
In March 2007, there were 3,291,805,000 females in the world. The world's population was 6,615,852,000. Females made up 49.76% of the world's population.

One percent of one percent of the world's female population would be 329,180.50. That's a little more than 200 times the number of girls that Buffy thought would be slayers.
Comments from author:
You're right. I thought I had corrected that, but obviously missed it.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I like how Xander and Giles received Slayer abilities. I especially like how Xander won the fight by thinking like his powerless self. The dream was a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing how everything turns out.
Comments from author:
You should be able to see how things develop in the fairly near future.

And I wanted to show that the Scoobies are going to have to work to get the most advantage of their new abilities.

Very intriguing AU with some nice characterizations and humorous bits. I have no fraking idea of where your story is going, but it looks like a fun trip. Thanks for the entertainment.
Comments from author:
Gad you enjoyed the story.

And there will be more stories in this series, and they should be showing up soon.

Pretty good, but I think you might want to doublecheck your math. 1637*100*100=16,370,000, which is nowhere near the total female population of the planet.
Comments from author:
Obviously, I screwed up my calculation somewhere. ;-(

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to correct it as soon as I figure out what the correct number should be. ;-)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from cmdruhura
An excellent story.

Woods and Faith get to lead the general fight against the Darkness and the Scoobies come in for the really big stuff or specific important missions. At least that's what Xander's vision seems to indicate.

You did make Xander's and Buffy's healing seem a bit like what Immortals from Highlander experience. Are you setting something up?

Dawn's absence from his vision does concern me as I would have at least expected her potential role to be hinted at even if it had been Padawan to one or more of the Scoobies.

Since you had Cordy in the Princess Leia role, love the choice of outfit you made by the way as the original white robes only looked good wet, does that mean she joins the Jedi group since Leia was Luke's sister and One With the Force as well?
Comments from author:

I wanted to show that there are multiple futures possible, and necessary, for the Scoobies, and that canon is nowhere close to the area this story is headed.

The Methuselah Stone was supposed to be a hint for those paying attention, so I'm glad to see it wasn't too subtle.

Dawn will not be showing up in the near future, and that's why she didn't show up in the vision.

And how could you NOT imagine Cordy in the slave girl outfit? (Actually, that was done at the suggestion of one of my betas. Thanks, Theo. ;-) )

Very good. It appears that the Scoobies are children of Raiden(Immortal). Cordy will be too as soon as she's healed by the Methuselah Stone. Hope they don't have too much trouble with other Immortals.

Judging by your mention of Gotham City, it would appear that this story takes place in the DC Universe. Will any of the heroes be making an appearance?
Comments from author:
The Immortal aspect is kind of a gimme, given the hints I was dropping in the story, especially since the Methuselah Stone only showed up in Highlander canon. ;-)

And Gotham is definitely in the imminent futures of several of the Scoobies, as you'll be seeing in the next story, which should be posted soon.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Maltor
I like it. Especially the fight at the end where he realized that even though he's got slayer strength and instincts, he still doesn't know how to fight. That his empowerment didn't turn him into SuperXan, he's going to have to work for it. The process he goes to get that knowledge will be interesting to read about in future stories. From the way you've set it up, it seems like you're going to post several one shots that follow certain groupings of people before bringing them back together at some point in the final story. Are there any stories planned from Angel & Co.'s perspective to get a glimpse as to the changes that not having Spike at Evil, INC. will cause?
Comments from author:
I'm trying to show that Xander and the other Scoobies are still basically the same people that they were before the empowerment spell and, as you noted, that they're all going to have to work to get the most out of their new abilities.

There will be several crossovers in upcoming stories in this series, and I'm going to be jumping all over the various universes as needed.

All I can say about Spike at the moment is that canon has been thrown out the window. ;-)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from draconis
I never can remember the actual meaning of tth's wording on multi-story entries.

When at the end of a story in a series, TTH says,
"This is the last story in the series"
...does that mean it is the FINAL ending story in the series as defined by the author, or does it mean it's simply the latest story in the series?

In fact, I remember several instances where that message was displayed when in fact the series was incomplete. It might have been caused by an entry error by the author.

I guess what I'm saying is it would help if the authors would definitively state something to that effect at the end of the last story in a given series.
(E.G. "This is the last story in my series. There will be no more stories written and listed in this series.")

But of course the author could also say something like,
"However, I may add related stories or follow-on series under a separate listing. Please use the tthfanfic "Tracking" system and select the option to
[Track all stories by 'greywizard]
to receive email updates when I update or add new stories."

(note: that also helps remind people about the tracking option to follow your stories)

I added a couple clarifying statements.
Comments from author:
As far as I understand it, that phrase means that the story in question is the most recently posted story in the series.

As far as this series is concerned, there are definitely more stories to be seen, and I'm working on the next one at the moment.

Glad you're enjoying the story.

Pretty cool! Only gripe I have is Wood hooking up with any of the Scoobies and Co., if only because of the age difference. He's, what?, in his 30's by now?, having the credentials as a school principal; it's like Giles and Dawn shacking up...

Sorry, I just threw up A LOT....

The last sentences about the amulet were rather foreboding.... But then again, it's late and I'm tired. :^p
Comments from author:
The scene with the amulet is primarily intended to indicate that in THIS universe, things are going to be *significantly* different than they were in the canon Scooby-verse.

You've already seen how things have started to diverge in this 'verse, and you'll be seeing more in the next story and the ones following it.
