So long as they don't let him undertake the more...advanced aspects of his research, they really should see if Crane would be willing to act as a therapist as well as teacher. These guys DESPERATLY need one, and I doubt there are that many psychiatrists who would be willing to a) believe this stuff, b) not try to spill the secret, and c) not judge a Slayer for killing sentient beings every night. Plus, I am sure that at least some of the Slayers and Slayer Support staff have some sort of psychological condition that could use medication; Jonathan might be able to pass on his recommendations to Lowe or some other professional since he would not be able to prescribe it himself.

i fully intended for Crane to take up the part of therapist as well, just further on down the line, when they are sure he's not going to gas all of them

Dumbledore murdering James/Joker's Twin by dosing him with Draught of Living Death and leaving him to starve to death and die in a buried coffin couldn't have helped Joker's stability any if the Twins shared any kind of link. And did he wake at any point and realize he was buried alive and send anything over a presumed possible link? Wouldn't do anything for Joker's presumed stability if he did.
