Ooo, I love this explanation! And given his precarious double life *within* the Wizarding World, it makes sense that he couldn't get away. The girls should understand that intellectually, but not sure about emotionally. Still...I'd like to think that they would give him a second chance.

I enjoyed seeing Spike so supportive especially as he was the only one at that time. Alfred's input to Dick was down to earth and I laughed as Bruce said he was too young to be a Grandpa. Thanks for the good read.

Okay, this very definitely needs to be followed up with a sequel.

Excellent set up for a series of short stories, showing how the Bat Gang reacts and adapts to the part of the world Buffy had lived in.
