Good beginning. I suspect Kate will join the SGC. Rejoining the old team would be to conspicuous I think. Interesting question is perhaps how happy / unhappy will Kate be leaving everything she knows ... ?

I really enjoyed reading PaBurke's take on the "Kate's clone was killed instead of her while she was in Loki's hands" scenario ("Family Ties" - http://www.hugosnebula.com/sgxover/viewstory.php?sid=114&;warning=4), but that story had Kate's relatives Jack and mini!Jack finding her and helping her exact her own vengeance on Ari pretty soon after her clone's death.

The four years this Kate spent on ice (and you neatly worked that into the whole 'death of the Asgard race' plotline) in this story makes for some really intriguing twists, as does the fact that she was reintroduced to her NCIS family before anyone in the SGC knew what had happened.

Actually glad that Loki died; now Kate doesn't have to worry about being nabbed again by him.

I thought about using him as a villian in this one when I was first starting to plot it out, but decided the story wasn;t going to go that way.

Hmm, i'd have thought that David would have some kind of reaction to both the Stargate and the fact that it was found in Israel.

You're thinking of the Gaza strip. Giza is where the Great Pyrimid is. Ziva is of course impressed, along with everyone else (Except for Abby, she's happy she's fifty bucks richer at Tony's expense.) I'll be dealing with the other character's dealing in later chapters.

Can't guarentee a quick update for this, I have several stories that are nearing posting point. It was never dead, none of my stories ever really are, and I do have plans on continueing it after this one is done. Next up will be chapter 9 of New Places.
