I'd say updates closer together and a longer wait between stories is better, but updates don't need to be SUPER frequent--once every few days works just as well as every day (and sometimes better).
I'm loving this--love Xander, love Abby, and I'm hurting for them both. You have a real gift for conveying emotion without smacking us over the head with it.

I'm glad that Vin was so understanding. I like spaced-out chapters to reduce the wait between stories as long as the time between chapters isn't too long (3 weeks or more).
Yay Vin! He definitely would understand that sometimes you just got to do the best you can between bad choices. I really like the way you handled his support of Abby and Xander. And his Mama would definitely be proud of him.

Poor Abby. And poor Xander. Chris' words hit a bit too close to the truth but without any understanding. And poor Chris, too, for having to reach conclusions without full knowledge because no one will tell him. And poor all of them because none of them have the time and energy to spare to deal with the fall out if they do tell the truth.

Something about Chris' type of personality rubs me the wrong way and it was a pleasure to see(read) someone put them in their place. Great emotional writing.

Wow, Ezra is going to be coming back in to a real mess. Good for Xander for standing up to Chris. Chris may be trying, but if he is worried Abby he shouldn't have gone off in front of her. This whole series has been very enjoyable. Thank you.
