Review of chapter "Enemies and Allies" from Zeviz
Review:
This was an enjoyable story, and I had thought that Wood had put a hit out on Xander until reading the final explanation, so good job with that surprise.

I love how each story in this series has Xander out on a mini quest with a new crew. Slowly building an assortment of people who are strong and trustworthy. And it's beginning to pay off. I like how Kennedy got spanked, but I'm not pleased with how Robin's been let off the hook!

Review of chapter "Enemies and Allies" from MBB
Review:
This story was Great! Not just great-great but really,, really great!
Partly because it was such a surprise, but mostly because it was great.

First of, I liked the return of one of my favorite minor characters, David Nabbitt.

And the Spa, was that the one from the episode She? (I noticed you mentioned the demons later, but the character might have been from a chrossover I hadn't seen before.

Secondly, the minor logical obvious-in-hindsight actions to achieve their mission, such as the call to the W&H desk (I thought maybe Harmony still worked there, but no, of course the rich business guy has a free ticked in, that's his daily business :-D )

But I really loved the ending with Wood. It is fun to see him turn the tables on Xander. It also really fits his character (2 manipulations in Season 7 while being a minor character). And their interaction seems to imply that he doesn't really hate or under-appreciate Xander, but they just have a different attitude (personal vs professional) about how demon-hunting should be done. And considering the mess Xander leaves behind in the Council, I can sort of see Wood's point.

And finally, the balance between standalone plot & closure vs background plot suspense & character development feels just right.

Robin should just change his name to Travers then get a vasectomy to avoid crimes against humanity.

Another great story by phouka bro. Xander's response to Wood before leaving should have been, "I would have done it anyway if someone had just told me the truth."

Review of chapter "Enemies and Allies" from mountainelements
Review:
Now that I've taken more time to think about this, I realize that hiring Lionel is a really stupid idea. He chose WRH, even knowing their reputation, because they offered him the best deal. He only left WRH and joined the Council in order to save his own skin, not because he changed his morals. I suspect that he may betray the Council in a future story if he thinks he can get a better deal elsewhere. They'd better be careful about what they allow him access to.

I REALLY hope that Xander doesn't join WRH, no matter what. Please don't make him join?

I have to admit that I was hoping that Xander was broadcasting the call so that Robin would get fired for hiring someone to kill Xander, but it IS more original this way. I still really hate Robin though. Why doesn't Xander call Willow though, considering that she broke up with Kennedy for him?

Well written intrigue but I would have liked to have read more about any fallout within the Council.

Review of chapter "Enemies and Allies" from Greywizard
Review:
Very nice.

Looking forward to seeing more of these stories, and hopefully seeing all of the assholes in the Council (and yes, that now includes Buffy, Willow, Giles and Faith) all get some sort of appropriate karmic rewards for abandoning one of their staunchest supporters. I'm not including Dawn, since she's still helping Xander, but the others all seemed to have their heads up their asses.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Miller get his ass stomped into the ground when he finally manages to bring Jesse back and tries to use him for leverage against Xander.

And I can't wait to see Robin get his testicles crushed once and for all, for all of the political bullshit he's been pulling. Hopefully, right before he get turned and then subsequently dusted.
