heehee: ‘Oh!’ Tindómë thought. If she had understood correctly, and she was pretty sure she had, that sounded like an invitation to a very different sort of ‘girls night’!
Is it possible that we might see another character from the Buffyverse, like Spike or Anya, come to Middle Earth in the future of this series?
Comments from author:
There is definitely plans for what happens when, at the very end of Return of the Key, she tries to contact Spike. But Anya is, as per canon, sadly dead.
Lovely story. I just read the entirety of this series in the last couple of days, and was extremely moved. What a beautiful story. I am hoping to have a story dedicated to Tindome and Legolas only, I really like their relationship and would love to see them out on some adventure of there own, maybe to visit the hobbits.

Thank you - I am really pleased that you have enjoyed the series so far. Currently I am working on something quite a bit later in the timeline - but there is most certainly room for more stories slotted in here and there...
As always, I adore you. I'm like, completely your biggest fan.

Thank you so much! The next longish story is due to be finished for posting in July for a 'Fic BigBang!' - but there might be a couple of shorts for the 'Small Returns' in between now and then, too.

First, I'm hoping that the riders reach Elessar before he finalizes the 'peace agreement'. News that the ellyth & others were attacked while the males were off making war should go over in an interesting fashion. Awaiting the hour of reprisal... Too bad they can't ride all that way with the eunuch's head on a pike.
And second, sad that T's death means no 'girls night of a different sort'. Awww... ^_^
Last, back in 'Return of the Key' when Tindome returns to Eryn Ithil, "Giles wondered, despite Dawn’s reassurances that Middle Earth was now at peace, if such security measures were normal, or if they were in place to guard against any mishap at the portal. It was certainly a well organised defence – he looked at Buffy and saw that she was also nodding gently in appreciation." I suppose now we know a bit about why such security measures are in place... (?)

Sorry it's taken a little while to reply - I've been away from home for a break.
Because I'm writing this with restricted points of view exactly what the king does will be 'outside the story' if you see what I mean - but I don't think elves are ever likely to leave their settlement totally unguarded - and this will just have confirmed that this is a good idea. Although I think there would have been extra security when the portal was opened - and quite possibly more than Giles ever noticed.

I love where you're taking this!!!!!! Can't wait for more!!!!!

Thank you! There is one more chapter to go; it will be about 3,800 words, though, I think, and I should be able to post it in a week or so - off-line life and travelling permitting.

Aww, sad! But also, awesome! I love Tindome as a warrior!
Comments from author:
Gosh - you were quick! Thank you so much - I'm glad you like it. I think it is not realistic for the good guys to always kill every bad guy without any losses themselves...
Two chapters! The first one was plenty personal so I skimmed it, sorry. I'm not too squeamish but those gory bits are best left to the participants I think. LOL. The next two were a definition of the title where so many just go for the catchy one and no story to back it up, at least that's the way I see it. Great read.
Comments from author:
Oh, please, please feel free to skip the 'gory' bits. I was saying to someone on my Live Journal that I sometimes use the 'pillow talk' to help set where they are in their relationship, but I think the story should work fine without - and you have just confirmed this for me. Thank you!

THe idea od Tindome being on the fences makes me so happy!
Sorry it took me so long to review this, there's...stuff...going on IRL *eyeroll*
I'm thinking TIndome could have told Rumil all about sunburns long ago if he'd asked, lol. THough she's a California girl, so she likely tans without burning to much. :)
Can't wait for more!
Comments from author:
Your reviews are always welcome! I think she's pretty likely to tan, too - or remain palely unburnt, with what Gandalf thought of as a tendency to revert towards elven. But Rumil is such a serious soul - and while he happily ignores lots of things as being unimportant, anything to do with his beloved not-quite-an-elf he regards as very important to know and remember.

Awesome as always. Post again, post again! ^_^
One bunny for your hutch: I'd like to read about Haldirin's conception. And the building of the house in Ithilien. And the crew deciding to sail West. And... darn bunnies, they do multiply, don't they?
Comments from author:
I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. The next two chapters are written and just need beta-ing. I think it should run to about 5 or 6 chapters in all.
Oddly enough I have a part of another 'Small Return' which is about, not Haldirin's, but Ithilienne's conception, and I have promised to do the sailing West story for a Tolkien Big Bang which should be due in July!

I'm so glad for a new story! Yay! I like this one already, and not just 'cause of the smutty bits!
Comments from author:
Thank you - it's always so nice to get your comments. I'm glad you like it - I have three and a half chapters written already - I think it will probably be about five, maybe six, chapters in all. So a reasonable story!
