Interesting story. If this does turn out to be the comic Justice League I hope you continue long enough to deal with Infinite Crisis or heck even Blackest Night.
I don't talk about Final because it sucked so much.

Freaking awesome chapter! I didn't see Xander's seeming extreme reaction to the Dr. Light situation coming, but, looking back, I really should have. It read entirely appropriate from where I'm standing once you take in all the information offered in this chapter. I can't wait to see where you take this story. Hope to see another update soon!

Bravo, seems very appropriate to me. Xander wipes the mind that holds Gachnar, leading to a mind with no will and full of fear aka a gibbering wreck. Now if Gachnar were ever to escape. I hate to think of the possibilities.
Nice story, could easily see it being expanded on later.
I would like to make a point of order in regards to Buffy canon. Spike didn't rape Buffy. He was attempting to force her, but realized what he was doing and that it was wrong and stopped himself. As a soul-less demon, I thought it was a rather large accomplishment in the series that Spike was able to stop himself and along with allowing himself to be tortured for Dawn signified the beginings of his change from villian to anti-hero.
Comments from author:
...
Yeah, Rape is Rape, forced sex is rape, even if they 'Ask for it' it is still rape, even if they don't go all the way through with it, it is still rape... i'm not playing the bully i am merely explaining how it is written by law.
the 'He stopped himself' defense doesn't hold water, not in any court or any value of justice on the planet.
heck he had sex with somone that could not make a sound mental judgement, that is rape... it is the same as using a drug to 'get them in the mood'
if he 'Knew it was wrong' than he could make an ethical or moral decision and therefor by basis had a soul, in which case he is guilty, full stop.
or he was a soulless demon and made the decision to stop because he knew it would get him killed and ran away to find a loophole to continue to exist.
as for the 'Allowing himself to be tortured for Dawn' he used to torture and be tortured by Dru, i don't think it holds quiet the same value point.
Spike was a vampire, he was a villain, i like him as a villain, i liked him as the forced good guy... i hated the Reformed act and the way the producers played it, it was illogical and beyond wrong in legal, moral and ethical points across the board.
Gaaah... Rant over, sorry.

Enjoyed this chapter more on the second read. Looking forward to some back story in the next chapter... or something equally entertaining. Thanks for sharing... and for continuing.
