(1) Spike was and is a murdering, torturing, rapist of a vampire. (2) He never changed what he was, soul or not. (3) Ultimately, Spike is a CORPSE - a dead body...

And why the devil would people be so fascinated by matching LIVING people up with it?

Don't understand this at all. Not the whole Angel thing, not the Chipped!Spike ting, none of it.
