Review of chapter "In all the Old, Familiar Places." from (Recent Donor)nerfherder
Review:
Well, I liked it. A little abrupt in its transitions, but that will improve with practice. So, practice more!

This is interesting, but your "German" accent is clichéd, and "mien schlussel" is a serious mistype - you might want to change it into "mein Schlüssel" (or "mein Schluessel", if you must). Although I wonder why Eskirne would want to openly use a 'nickname' with such a serious secret barely hidden behind it. Who, hearing it, wouldn't wonder what it meant? I can't imagine Dawn being willing to announce her real identity to all and sundry; she'd ask him to pick something else to call her by, I think.
Comments from author:
For some reason the umlaut isn't transferring over when i upload/copy paste things.

While you may say it's cliche, the way I write my German accent is the way my grandfather spoke English. So, sorry if a little old man from Luckenwalde cliche.

So, she's helping start up the Marvel universe in this world, ie superheroes and all that. Hopefully she doesn't age, or ages slowly, and can live to see it, along with Captain A. returning...
Her connection to anyone who got her blood is interesting. Eventually maybe to their descendants as well? That could lead to some strange story lines...

Nice chapter.

Is Dawn becoming a Slayer or a Supersoldier?

Raf
Comments from author:
She is getting Slayer-ish, but she's not going to become a Slayer.

C'est magnifique!

I love this fic! I can't wait to read more ^_^ I'm so happy you updated! I will wait for more ^_^

I am slightly confused why Dawn has switched from fashions to languages to agent...but maybe she does all three?

Review:
Will Dawn have a faint magical or psychic link to anyone empowered by her blood?

The Ultimate version of Mutant Zero (Wolverine) was based off of the Super-Soldier Serum, meaning that Dawn could be considered the Mother of Mutantkind. In a roundabout way, Ult!Magneto’s dogma would be correct when he said that mutants are divine in origin.

This could explain why SHIELD is so interested in cloning Spider-Man, as Spidey is one of the few superhumans whose powers didn’t come from Dawn Summer’s blood. The other non-Dawns: Thor (Asgardian), the Fantastic Four (teleporter accident), the Green Goblin (OZ-serum), and Tony Stark (in-utero exposure to virus); everyone else is indirectly connected to the original Super-Soldier Project.

As a pop-culture reference, Dawn could say that Magneto thinks “she’s the Jenova to his Sephiroth” (Final Fantasy).

Thor or Loki might sense that mutantkind is derived from Dawn’s blood. Norse mythology doesn’t have a counterpart to Echidna the Mother of Monsters, so they might call Dawn “Grendelsmodor” as a derogatory slur to imply that mutants are her monstrous basturd children.
Comments from author:
Well, first question was pretty much answered in the last update, lol.

As for your other points, they're all very good, and all very far into the future ^_^; More in terms of a sequel truth told.

Dawn is going to be drawing a little more from Inanna, a Sumerian Goddess.

I really like the way you're introducing Dawn and Steve, as well as her continued difficulty adjusting to the gender roles of the 1940s.

I am a little bothered by your depiction of Peggy Carter, though. I think the story, and the world you've developed, can easily handle two strong female characters, and I'm worried you feel a need to vilify the cannonical love interest to make room for Dawn. Besides, I think both women are above middle-school sniping, especially over a boy. Agent Carter's an Army major with a job to do, and while Dawn may be young, she's not a child, or a stranger to harsh situations.

Anyway, I hope Dawn and Peggy both get over themselves at some point. 'cause the rest of your character interactions have been stellar.
Comments from author:
Dawn's competitor is going to be Gail. Since ya know, Gail is the Cannon love interest for UltimateCap.

Peggy isn't cannon in Ultimate Universe 1610. In fact, she doesn't even exist. The movies are not Ultimate. They are Earth-199999

http://marvel.wikia.com/Earth-199999

That is the universe in Which Peggy carter exists.

http://marvel.wikia.com/Earth-1610

This is the universe in which I am writing. Thank you.

I like the story... Even more if Dawn gets the super soldier treatment some as well, and she & Steve wind up in the 'present'. Or maybe she doesn't age?

Great story so far. I love the relationships you've built between Dawna and her new family.

I can't wait to see more, and how you intertwine the Captain America storyline with the Key.
