Review:
Anyone for rudeness?
You used the name Sea Devils and said it was a Doctor Who reference. Simple as that. Why are reviews even allowed if it comes to this?
Comments from author:
Did I? Well, it was an awful long time ago that I wrote this story so I probably forgot. If I sounded rude I'm sorry but in my defense you sounded pedantic! This is the problem with communicating without being able to see the other person's face, you can' tell if you're joking or not.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
When you mention the Sea Devils kidnapping and crossbreeding with human women, you're describing the behaviour of H.P. Lovecraft's Deep Ones. In Doctor Who the Sea Devils were aquatic relatives of the Silurians.
Comments from author:
Anyone for pedantry?

I'll well aware of this as I know something of H P Lovecraft's works and watch the original Dr Who with the Sea Devils in as a boy.

All I'm suggesting here is the two could be misidentified by people who aren't experts...also who says that Sea Devils isn't the local name for Deep Ones? And maybe, just for a while there the Deep Ones had access to advanced weapons.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Lovecraft's entities are not actually demons. And if those are Sea Devils from Doctor Who-well, they certainly don't do THAT!
Comments from author:
Its just a simple case of misidentification. People see what they expect to see, if you expect to see demons that's what you'll see!

Cheers,
D.

What happens to the permanent guests, staff and Russian hamsters?
At least Willow could have paid by erecting the fence.

Cheers.
Comments from author:
Not much point with the hotel being a smoking ruin now!

I expect everyone will find somewhere else to stay/work. there's plenty of hotels in Torquay.

Cheers,

Kennedy being a gangster girl (and named after RFK.. which fits so nastily and correctly into the Buffyverse), Fawlty Towers (on the evil anagrams); you, sir, are clearly deranged.

I love it. I do advise you keep writing to avoid having it wreck other aspects of your life.

Thank you.
Comments from author:
Thank-you, your review made me chuckle.

I liked your story. But for some reason, when I read “Daddy bought a penthouse apartment in Chelsea,” Kennedy announced nonchalantly, “he wants us to check it out.” I suddenly had a very bad feeling. Lol!
Comments from author:
I think your entitled to as many bad feelings as you like! Kennedy's little 'jobs' for her Daddy usually end up with some one dead!

Cheers,
Dave.

Alls well that ends well...at lest for our heroes it does.

"Leaving the dust and smouldering ruins of Torquay in her rear-view mirror"

You are J.G. Ballard and I claim my five pounds!

Nice ending, looking forward to their next escapade.
Comments from author:
I'm going to have to check that reference before I hand out anything.

The next thrilling installment of the Grim up North starts soon!

Cheers,
Dave.

Just looked up J D Ballard, I thought the name sounded familiar, but I can't say I've read any of his works.

Howdy Dave!

Heh! I say Kenn and Wils throw Fawlty to the thing and run for their room to properly arm themselves. Considering Fawlty, it'll take some time to chew the stringy bastard, outa by Kenn and Willow about an hour....
Comments from author:
Nice thought, but I think even Fawlty gets covered by the 'we done kill humans' rule...well maybe...there could be some wriggle room here!

Review:
Ewww! I actually hope it is Quetzalcoatl just because I've always liked the name 'Quetzalcoatl' and it sounds better than 'Hunting Horror'. Lol! Nice cliffy, I hope there will be a quick update.

I know what they can do! Willow and Kennedy need to strip naked, wipe off the blood and feed Fawlty, Sybil, and What's-her-name to the nasty bugger! Although the thought of Fawlty naked makes my mind's eye all red and puffy.

Edit: OK, I didn't like Sybil so much as I disliked her less than most of the rest. I'd didn't think there were many likable people on FT.
Comments from author:
Polly?

Everyone wants to feed Basil to the Hunting Horror! And yes I like the word Quetzacoatl too. Its the sort of word you can really get your teeth into!

Cheers,
Dave.

So Sibyl is in the chicken killing business, apparently to feed her flying snake pet, how nice of her. I hope that the hunting horror, is not of the cyclopean breed, they can be kinda nasty, specially to people like Basil ; ).
Cool chapter, see ya!!.
Comments from author:
As I remember my one encounter with a Hunting Horror they're nasty to everyone and very hard to kill!

Cheers,
Dave.

Review:
Howdy Dave!

Heheh, got the reference. Had ta read it three times before the rusty gears unclogged, but with a loud 'CLUNK' they did...then I promptly said "Wait, I KNOW this!" and lost it with a good belly laugh. Hey it DOES fit! Gonna keep waitin for Willow to spot the zippers though...

A good little character insight into Kennedy. I immediately understood Willow's observation and how it could apply to several members of their little band, including a couple Willow's own age.

Loved how Kenn and Willow are in town for only two days and already they've managed to piss off two vicious Witches and an entire race.... I think that beats Buffy AND Faith's records. Though with Faith and Dawn a couple, we haven't seen what they can do as a team...and when you consider their individual records. HEH! Then we'll let Kenn and Willow's competative streak loose after this little Deep One's warm-up, mmmm.
LET WHOLE NATIONS TREMBLE!

Aggh, moose, they're quite the intriguing majestic animals. I saw one once, they say the bites kan be pretty nasti =S.
The sea devils minicross, was funny hehehhe =)!. I always wondered if the Doc Who writers were inspired by the Deep ones.
Cool chapter, see ya!.
Comments from author:
Only ever seen a moose on TV, thank the gods.

A lot of the monsters on Buffy were inspired by Cthuhlu monster. Like the swim team!

Cheers,
Dave.
