Well, there was a sequel ... shows that late night reading sessions aren't always the best choice if one can overlook something as obvious as this.
Willow on an island full of beautiful women who hate men seems like her vision of heaven. And Tara can finally dry her tears and start enjoying her afterlife, now that her Willow-tree is free of her magics destructive influence.
Buffy's stages of being pissed off will be something like this I imagine:
1. Angry with Willow the miraculous mind magican. 2. Angry at Dawn for making such an important decision about her life. (Never mind, that she was unconscious and unable to choose herself!) 3. Angry with Xander for leaving her behind and moving to another dimension.
4. Angry with herself for not seeing what was happening to Willow, falling under her influence/control, such being the reason Xan fled from her and Dawn was forced to make a decision that changed her life fundamentally.
Oh, joy!!! Think Faith will give her the number of her shrink?
A very well crafted tale to wrap up some loose ends, but I didn't want it to end! I hope you add to the series soon! In that line of thought, some ideas: 1. I think it is time for the Mythic Love bug to smack Xander again... 2. Hmmm, Diana and Zatana both seem Interested... 3. His foreknowledge is going to affect several major turning points and prevent completely several others. 4. When are they going to notice his ascension? 5. They usually try to marry or pair off destabilizing powers in the mythic realm as it tends to cool their jets and give leverage over them. See the first option...
Just some plot bunies in need of slayage.......

I have just finished rereading the first story in the series and reading the second story in the series and I think the first story was just as good as the last time I read it.
I think you have done a wonderful job with the second story as well and I hope that life and inspiration will allow you to add a new story to the series. :D

I sat down and reread this story from the beginning - I'd forgotten how much I liked it.
The solution for Willow was, really, no more ruthless than what she had done to the people around her. Personally, I'd have chosen the "handmaiden" route: still has her power, and lots of pretty female companionship, as well as continual supervision by someone who won't accept misbehavior. But starting over gives her a chance at heaven.
As for Buffy, she's getting what she always really wanted. She did a pretty good job as student counselor at Sunnydale High. She might make an excellent job of it with a degree.
Thank you.

I'm glad you liked it. I really struggled with how to deal with her, and for a long time Xander almost killed her. But I thought this was fitting, the option you would chose for someone you loved, but didn't really like anymore.
I noticed the new story and remembered enjoying the first one so decided to give it a chance. It's a good story and nicely written. Well done.
I think you need to work on your conversations. They seem a little stiff, like the speaker has carefully considered what to say and made sure that they cover all the points. It also affect the rest of your writing to an extent though it only really bothers me in the conversations.
