Aww, this was lovely! Your Joyce was spectacular and I loved seeing a little bit of the Summers household dynamic, especially in the early stages of The Guardian Series. Poor Luke though, how horribly awkward! I guess the whole 'meeting the new grandparents' could have gone worse though :-)

Anyway, thanks for this wonderful piece... I loved it!!

I actually have a partially written fic of Luke's first night with Buffy and the subsequent days that follow. However, it's sitting there for a rainy day because I don't think it's capable of being (or deserves to be) a oneshot. It will probably be the first multi-chaptered fic of series.

Awww... this was really sweet. Your universe's Joyce is still very recognizable...fear for Buffy mingled with pride, and this awkward first meeting really works. I'd love to see more in this universe.
