Review of chapter "complicated is a good description" from JJDudeman
Excellent. Did Connor justice, which is very hard to do in my opinion. Nicely done. Not a fan of the sad ones, but gotta give props to quality when I see it.
Comments from author:
I agree with you - when I'm reading I almost always go for the lighter ones but for some reason these sadder fics get caught in my brain and I need to write them down sometimes. I'm glad you thought it did Connor justice; he's a really complicated character to me. Very different at different points in the seasons and I actually didn't really like him when I first watched the show but again *laughs* he got caught in my head.

Thanks for reviewing.

I can understand that it is difficult for Connor to know who he really is. In a way he is like Wesley in being unable to let Fred go. At least while her body is still walking around.
Comments from author:
I liked that he wasn't bitter on the show though - that honestly might have been a cop out on the part of the writers since they didn't really have time to do a story line to deal with Connor's feelings, but I liked the unexpectedness of that none the less. A non-angsty Connor.

It does help that he wasn't in love with Fred and that he didn't have to hold her while she died. That can certianly mess with ones head.

Thanks for reviewing, Gideon. :)

This is excellent. Grief is so hard and you capture it so well. The sense of not belonging is also something that resonates. You capture humanness and frailty in a way that is so very powerful because we are so fragile.

thank you

Thanks Blue. I'm glad you liked it since I know you enjoyed the first Connor bit I did (thanks bunches for the rec on that one BTW).

The more I write, the more I realize I seem to write emotion much more freely and easily then plot. I like to get into a characters head-space and deconstruct a situation from their POV. It delights me that it comes across right and other people relate and can get what I'm trying to convey.

As you can probably tell, I put a bit of my voice into this stuff as well. And when I stopped writing and read this through the first time parts of it made me think of you and our conversations about both fandom stuff and personal life.

Hmm. Don't know if I actually conveyed anything there or just rambled *laughs*. I'm really really tired right now, Blue, so don't mind me. Thanks again for the lovely review.

Review of chapter "complicated is a good description" from HarmMarie
This was great. I loved the 4 different Connors and how he named them.
Comments from author:
I think 'Miracle Child angst Connor' was my favorite name. *laughs* In cannon, I liked Connor a lot better when he popped back up in the last season - memories back but not super angst-y or trying to kill everything around him. Just accepting that his life was really weird and kinda sarcastic. I tried to have that feel here in this fic, even if it was angst-y due to it's remembering the dead nature.

Again, thanks for reviewing HarmMarie.

Wow- awesome
Comments from author:
*curtsies* I enjoyed how well-adjusted Connor was on the show near the end, but I think even a well-adjusted kid would need to sit down and consider a few things once the dust from an apocalypse settled and he realized how many from his memories were dead.

Thanks for taking the time to review this bit as well, TouchoftheWind. I appreciate the feedback. :)
