Review of chapter "Chapter One" from DarthTenebrus
Review:
That it takes /this/ to bring the father out of his perpetual drunken state long enough to do one good thing by his son may perhaps be too little, too late, but at least it shows that there is still some spark of decency in the man. I like this alternate take on the person of Anthony Harris.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Current Donor)Ironbear
Review:
Okay, I have zero knowledge of the source material and none about the crossover universe. (I see a trip to wikipedia in my near future. And then possibly to Amazon if it looks intriguing.)

That said, cool story. I like fics that avoid the fanon trap of making Tony and Jessica unmitigated child abusers, and actually turn them into people rather than caricatures. Nicely done.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from MBB
Review:
A good fic
A little over the top, but knowing it's partly a parody on other way more over the top fics makes it all the more fun.

My first suspicion was when you had Tony sum up all the ways he was not hitting his family, as why would he think about it, but then I realised lots of people here take it for canon.
Comments from author:
That bit about not hitting family was in hopes of making it believable for Tony to give Xander the sword. Kinda hard to find an believable reason for their canon relationship while having some sort of care for his son. Basically went for having him treated like the offspring of rape, you don't blame tthe kid, but you don't want the reminder of the pain either.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Iceflame
Review:
I'm not Xander-centric, mainly cause of the MANY forms of Xander-sue out there; but this one is worthy, even for those like me, who avoid Xander-centric like it was poison :).
Comments from author:
That's about the highest praise that anyone can ask for; someone liking your story even when they're predisposed not too.

Thanks a bunch.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from oldgirllost
Review:
Are you absolutely sure it's only a one-shot?
If so that's too bad.
Good idea.
Comments from author:
Yeah, this one's going to stay a one-shot. I have no real ideas on where it could even go, what with all that I changed was giving Xander a sword he's never been trained to use and giving the Gang enemies way beyond what they ever faced. They barely beat the first as it was.

Last thing I want to do is try to make this a happy ending, and I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't want to read a tragedy that wasn't Shakespeare.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Scorpio
Review:
Oh...that's so sad and twisted. It's like half of me is hurting for Tony because with the death of his wife, he lost so much more than that. He lost his hope and his faith as well. He was shattered into this pathetic shell of a man. On the other hand, I want to shake him and yell "Wake up!" 'cause just think of all the knowledge and training he could have passed on to Xander if he only took the SunnyD threats seriously.

How much pain could have been averted if? That's the crook & hook of it. If?

And now? It's really too little too late. Ain't it?

Excellent story. I nice little glimpse into who Tony was and who Xander could have been...
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. You basically hit the nail on the head, including why I ended the story where I did; it is too little to late. Tony's contribution changes nothing in the scheme of things.

I thought it would be kind of fun to show the MarySue Xander could have been and then just toss it out the window.
