For what it is worth I think this is a crossover. You mention the Avengers group name, even if you don't mention any of the characters by name. Nice try though :)
It is nice to think of the scooby gang gettign some help though, especially when they needed it as badly as they did with Glory.

I liked this, but how is the Avengers not a crossover?

My understanding of the term crossover is this, when one or more characters from different fictions get together to have some sort of adventure or even a casual meeting, then they are crossing over.

When one character from a fandome calls up some random nameless female person on the phone and asks for assistance from a group of Marvel Heroes, but they don't actually interact with one another or are named, then they aren't crossing over.

It's as if Xander called up Angel and Co for help, though of course that isn't what he did.

Of course I could be wrong, but as I said if it needs to be changed in the details then I will.

Non-crossover? I'd love to see more of this, if you had more in mind. Maybe Buffy getting territorial? Telling the Avengers (and Xander) to butt out?

I'm certain someone could do it much better than I considering my knowledge of these characters is much more limited than say... Spider-Man or Wolverine. (And at this point in the timeline it's not possible to pull a New Avengers roster.)

And yes, I selected Non-Crossover. Considering there is no actual crossing over in this ficlet I don't see it as being necessarily a crossover type thing. Of course if a Moderator feels otherwise I shall probably have to change the thing. *Shrugs*

Hmmm, I'm thinking this would be an awesome opportunity for an Avengers cross. Perhaps a Xander/She-Hulk Pairing? C'mon... You know you want to! Everybody's doing it!

I'm afraid my knowledge of the characters is so limited that a full on cross-over of this type would be extremely diffcult. On top of that, as I said, I'm still in Ponyville and not content enough to return to the darkness of Buffy's world just yet. D'AWWWWWWWW, more Derpy as mom artwork, curses, inspired again! lol
