Review of chapter "Chapter Four" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
Lucy! I don't know how I could have forgotten her and Coffey. At first, I thought you were going to make her a Potential Slayer who wasn't called, but having her experience a vampire attack is great too.

Thank you for this story, I'm really looking forward to the next update!

Yeah, you're one of the few people who can string me along quite happily with your WIPs, even though I really hate reading dribs and drabs. Your stories are worth it.

ETA: after skimming previous reviews, I am very glad to hear that this will not include Spike. I really love the Nikki Wood you've created here! She's every bit as violent and no-nonsense as early Faith, be the foes human or demon, yet every bit as protective and conscientious as Buffy. It makes me sad to know what her end will be in the not too distant future, but at least we know Joss sends his Slayers to heaven and, thankfully, we know Nikki doesn't get ripped out of hers like Buffy did.
Comments from author:
The idea of Lucy as a Potential did cross my mind, but it occurred to me that there might be a few vamp survivors around, too.

Thanks for the review.

Review:
Yes, I'm likely to bug you at every chapter. I LOVE THIS TO PIECES!!! You SO have Belker and Furillo dead on the money! Utterly FABULOUS story!

If and when you start getting published as an author of original fiction, I sincerely hope you'll PM me and tell me your pen name, because I love your fan fiction so much that I want to read any other work you've got out there as well.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm unlikely to produce any original fic, I'm afraid (I enjoy playing with others' characters too much).

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
Freaking brilliant! And you've got Belker dead on the money; I always loved that guy, he was my favorite. *g* I'm glad to see that at least he's got his eyes open, though he does his best to deny it and doesn't talk about it.

Thank you again for this crossover!
Comments from author:
Belker was always my favourite character too, and if any of the Hill Street crew had encountered the night life, I reckoned it would be him.

Thanks for the review.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
Good Lord, it's been so long since I've seen an episode of Hillstreet Blues! But it is one of my all time favorite shows and the theme song is a favorite, too. Thank you for writing this crossover! The Hillstreet characters all seem to be the way they should be, especially Sergeant Esterhaus.

Also, so this is why the Cordy stories are being updated less often... I can deal with that, especially since you're writing this, which is fabulous!

*does happy dance* Hillstreet Blues! Entirely too cool. Thank you!
Comments from author:
Glad you enjoyed it - I haven't seen any Hill Street crossovers elsewhere and it was always one of my favourite.

This isn't why the Cordy stories are being updated less often - I started this one back in 2011, but I never abandon anything and the muse returned unexpectedly.

Thanks for the review

Review of chapter "Chapter Four" from (Recent Donor)draconin
Review:
I'm so glad you're still updating this one! It's amazingly true to the original voices and feel of the series - I find myself seeing the characters talking as I read. Plus I love the humour you've injected; Robin's first word, Belker at his growling best and so on.
PS I've no idea whether you've plotted the whole thing out yet but if you haven't, please consider leaving Spike out of it. I'd really like to see her walk away into the sunset on this one rather than the end that we all know she's destined for.
Comments from author:
Thanks - glad you're enjoying it. Good to hear I've go the 'sound' of the characters, too. This is pre-Spike, just one episode in Nikki's life.

Let me say its nice to see this back...and one day I'll finish my own Hill Street xover!

A good read as always.

Comments from author:
I look forward to reading your version - Hill Street Blues fanfic, crossovers or otherwise, is very rare.

Review:
Maybe taking down this vamp gang got just enough publicity in the demon world to attract Spike's notice later on?
Hopefully using police resources, Nikki can figure out where this gang makes its nest.
Comments from author:
It'll be a few years before Spike kills Nikki, but I may just find a way to fit him in... Access to Police resources certainly can't hurt.

So very glad you came back to this. I love your Nikki. I think it's a pity we never saw more of her life. Having the police work with her is a fabulous idea. I cannot wait to see the next chapter!

Comments from author:
I'm most of the way through the next chapter of FLP2, but the Muse has been temproarily refusing to cooperate for a few days. Fortunately - and unexpectedly - I had a sudden burst of insipiration for this one. Not sure exactly when the next chapter will be finished, but it won't be nearly so long as last time.

Nikki working with the police will be a temporary thing and even then most won't know what's happening (besides, they're all pretty clueless as regards the supernatural, though probably more effective than Sunnydale PD).

Thanks for the review.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from Gideon
Review:
I guess it is almost as much of a problem for the slayer if the local cops are somewhat competent as if they are totally useless as they were in Sunnydale. Can't wait to see who her contact is in the station!
Comments from author:
The local cops are certainly more competent, but also too busy with normal crime on the Hill, for the most part, to notice the supernatural.

I hope to return to this story shortly - I was temporarily short of inspiration.

Thanks for the review.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from AllenPitt
Review:
Vampire gang? Not good... But at least Quentin's career is doing ok, that's what's important to us all.
I suppose if she can get the info from the coroner etc, she might be able to figure out his mo & set a trap, ie pick one of the 2 possible victims and shadow?
Comments from author:
Perhaps, perhaps not - he might have something different planned for one of his intended victims...

Thanks for the review.

Marvelous mixture of humour and sersiousness. Still a splendid way with words and description of the Hill area.

And I loved Robin's first word...

Thanks for writing

Review:
You're a bad, bad person! I've just spent money buying seasons 1 and 2 of Hill Street because this has reminded me so much of how I enjoyed it! :-) I just loved Belker's conversation with his mother and Robin's first word.

Small typo: one-sides conversation => one-sided
Comments from author:
Unfortunately, they apparently decided not to bring out any further series, though you might find them streamed somewhere (in the UK, we can get them all from the Channel 4 website at present (or watch them at 4am)).

Thanks for the review.

Review:
Definitely got a kick out of Robin's first word!
Comments from author:
I'm told that my first word was also something I shouldn't have used (though not that one) - after weeks of mum warning dad about his language around me, she got frustrated one day with a broken washing machine and he came home from work one night to find me gleefully saying "s**t" over and over again. Kids just know, for some reason.

Thanks for the review.
