Review:
Excellent story, and I really like the character of Myrtle. I'm surprised that Olive's apologies weren't enough to let her go to her rest, or did I miss something?

Red
Comments from author:
Thanks. I felt Myrtle could use a little love. There´s a few more people who need to apologise, and her murderer needs to be wither acknowledged, or brought to justice, if still alive. So Voldemort. And she´s an easy one. The Baron and the Lady have much more difficult ´release conditions´

Review of chapter "Endings" from Zeviz
Review:
I liked most of this story, but a pedophile rapist is way too much for HP, which is mostly a fairy tale. It can get quite dark, especially if you interpret "over 50 dead in the final battle" as "most of the DA got killed", but that's still not nearly as bad as a serial rapist of 12 year olds (at least in my opinion). The rape scene was particularly too much, and could have been stopped much sooner and still produced the same effect.

I did enjoy the rest of the story enough to read it despite this, but, given the tone of the source material, the Lockheart character would have fit better in another part of your world.
Comments from author:
It's a very heavy scene yes.

But fairytales in their original form were full of extreme (sexual) violence. The unexpurgated version of Little Red Riding Hood is extremely gruesome.

Considering that Harry was basically raised in a cupboard and suffered at the very least continual psychological abuse and was most likely starved, so he always remained smaller than his fellows, I find the HP verse very dark indeed. That it is brought as comedy, or poo-poohed doesn't make it less gruesome. Not to mention the inherent racism that seems pervasive the culture and the mindrape of many people by Lockhart and the institutionalised 'obliviation'/mind rape by the Ministry.

That said, I understand your point of view that the scene might be longer than necesary and disturbing.

Review of chapter "Endings" from starwolf
Review:
It was nice to see more of Luna and fill out Murytle a lot more(and more classy). It was also nice to see that the teachers were not totally oblivious to was was going on, you gave most of them more depth also. Lockheart, couldn't happened to a more deserving weasel, except maybe victor Chase. why did Snape need Molly's blood, was she related to the Wheasleys? great story, thanks
Comments from author:
Thanks. Yes, I can't imagine a bunch of supposedly intelligent people failing that spectacularly. A lot of HP characters are frighteningly two dimensional. More depth will follow in later stories. Lockhart is a tremendous bastard. As for why Snape needed that blood, well it's a potions ingredient and will be dealt with in a later chapter.

Review:
I'm reading the stories again, now. I haven't read all of them in a while, and I haven't read some of them continuously so that was 'new'.

They are still great, by the way.

I can't believe this one was finished 2 years ago!
Comments from author:
The next chapter of LS is under final Beta. I think I'm getting back into the frame of mind to write that.

Glad that they's still enjoyable, I was afraid they wouldn't age well.

Two years.... Neither can I...

“Ah. Um…Why haven’t all the pupils been thought the Mirror Eye Charm?”

"taught"?
Comments from author:
Quite correct. That is such a blatant error I should correct it immediately.

Review:
“You Gryffs always underestimate the sheer drive curiosity gives us Ravenclaws.” Myrtle said with a smirk. “And the inventiveness to find ways to satisfy said curiosity…”

Interesting. So if Willow ends up a student in Hogwarts, she would be a Ravenclaw ?
Comments from author:
In my book, yes. She's quite brave, but her inastaible curiosity makes her more of a Ravenclaw to me.

Review:
Dark, dark story but gives more depth to the Wand waver side of this AU.

Very good addition to the series, thanks!
Comments from author:
Well I hope the beginning was fun. Harry Potter is actually qutie dark, though mostly things are hinted at. I just get a bit more in your face about it...

Review:
It never occurred to me that Lockhart would have used the memory spells that way. It makes sense, now, that he would. The pompous baboon couldn't resist that aspect of fame.

James
Comments from author:
Yes, it is merely another aspect of rape. I doubt he would have stopped at mental rape...

Awesome story! Thank you for writing one that was not centered around HP and his motly crue.
Comments from author:
Thank you. The next story in the series is up. Slightly more Trio in the first chapters, but it will all revert to Luna pretty soon.
