Review of chapter "Third Demon Singular" from DieselDriver
Review:
When it comes time to break the 4th wall, you should do a good job of it. Rest assured that you did a very good job.
Comments from author:
Thank you!

The story actually is canon for the 'Tabula Avatar' series - apart from the breaking of the fourth wall.

Zaxis may not have beat the algorhythm, but he's smart enough to see through the fourth wall!

(And I can't help thinking he and Zathras should meet for tea sometime...)
Comments from author:
I had a line about the fourth wall in the original draft of the story but edited it out.

Review of chapter "Third Demon Singular" from ForSpite
Review:
Well if number of times a name appears is the sole deciding factor, I suppose Zaxis is in pretty good shape. That would be a pretty simple algorithm, though.
I mean, he doesn't even show up until the last third or so of the story. I wouldn't be surprised if the tiefling thief gets a higher rating, since the narrator thought about her and her family relations a lot.
Comments from author:
Actually I too thought that Neeshka would come out top, or possibly Khelgar, but in fact Neeshka comes 5th with only 12% and Khelgar 3rd with 20. Zaxis is 4th, with 15%. Second is Zhjaeve on 22, despite her having only 2 lines, and first is...

Mephasm. Despite not even appearing in the story, and being mentioned only 3 times, Neeshka's possible great-grandparent comes top with 29%.

Review:
Zaxis.. is playing the odds. Nice.

As a demotivational poster puts it (right under a pic of Deadpool saying "shhhh.. my common sense is tingling");

COMMON SENSE : So rare, it's a goddamned superpower.
Comments from author:
The odds didn't work out the way Zaxis expected. He ends up with only 15% on the statistics.

It's weird. Zhjaeve ends up on 22%, despite only having two lines; Neeshka, who has 5 lines, has 12%. And the central character with 29%, according to the algorithm, is Mephasm - who doesn't appear in the story at all and is referred to in passing only 3 times.

Review:
First, the story - hillarious :) I loved it.

Second, Sorkatani - I've read that she was dead, but I hoped it was a mistake :( Oh well, I still love reading (and re-reading) this series. Damn I wish I could write half as beautiful.
Comments from author:
Thank you very much!

Yes, I'm afraid that when Kelleth said that she was dead, in 'A Plague of Serpents', he wasn't just passing on a mistaken rumour. And she's not only dead - she's in the Wall of the Faithless, perhaps the worst fate that can befall anyone in any universe.

Not that Buffy's going to leave it at that...

Thanks for the info, makes more sense to me now. I had read your series over such a long period of time (and on different sights) and in somewhat jumbled order that I probably dropped some of the plot threads along the way.

Zaxis is clever, I see. This may very well be the only Zaxis-centered story in all of TTH.

This made me giggle. I hope that was your intention!
Comments from author:
Actually Zaxis isn't as clever as he thinks. I've just checked and the algorithm has decided that the central character, even though he doesn't appear in the story at all and is referred to only 3 times, is Mephasm!

Actually it didn't work out that way in reality. I've just checked and the algorithm has decided that the central character, even though he doesn't appear in the story at all and is referred to only 3 times, is Mephasm!

Review:
Pretty funny, but now you got my mind bouncing all over the place. Did computer generated Buffy reboot the slayer line in Faerun or has Faith come on over. In either case with the Forgotten Realms less than strict line on permanent death (even more so than Buffy) you could have a lot of little slayers running around pretty soon.

Shoot, the agony of subtle allusions and a curious (and impatient) disposition. May your Muse be kind (to us all).
Comments from author:
The Slayer line was created on Faerûn because Jonathan described Sorkatani as a Slayer in the fanfic he used as a basis for the character. The line ran through her (as proved by her being taken over by the spirit of the First Slayer, and not by Bhaal, when she lost her soul) and passes on at her death. And only the first death counts; second and subsequent deaths don't activate another Slayer. Buffy's deaths in Faerûn don't count.

Chantry, in 'A Plague of Serpents', refers to Sorkatani as being dead so it's not too big a spoiler to make the full reveal.

The Slayer who followed Sorkatani was Kenadi Nefret. When Cierre killed her, in Chapter One of 'Debt of Blood', Temina Farlong was activated. Buffy, under the alias of 'Light of Heaven', was sent by the gods to mentor Temina once the Shadow War began. That's why Buffy's at Crossroad Keep in 'A Plague of Serpents'.
