Here's hoping your muse comes back on this one. I definitely want to see how you deal with that cliffie at the end of this chapter. I'm rather enjoying the story and look forward to further chapters.

Review:
I've been enjoying your fic so far, I really enjoy the deep magic and how conniving the Blacks are.
However, chapter 12 brought me up short. I know bashing Dumbledore is easy and can be fun, but Bones and Bagnold have ABSOLUTELY no legs to stand on going after Dumbledore. At least not from any high horse.
Wizarding Britain was fighting a war, the Ministry of Magic has been shown time and time again to be fundamentally corrupt AND incompetent. The idea that the OotP was some how getting in the way of the Ministry's ongoing and "effective" law enforcement campaign against Voldemort breaks my suspension of disbelief. As it's a war, law enforcement as an apparatus pretty much goes out the window as being a viable tool to fight the combatants. Voldemort and the Death Eaters were killing, raping, pillaging openly and without restraint during the first war, the ministry was all but cowering in fear. So Bones and Bagnolds moral outrage rings rather hollow to being downright pompous arrogance on the level of Fudge.
I'll keep reading, and I've been enjoying it quite well up to here. I just wanted to put my two cents in.

O-kay, that's a nice little cliffie there and 'twill be most interesting to see the reason for that outburst. Beyond that, it's going to be fascinating to see if Sirius provides some extra protections for the Dursleys (since it's clear that Albus' manipulations caused the problems he saw in his original life). It should be right interesting to see how Sirius deals with the complications that have now arisen and sorts things out to the maximum discomfort of Albus Dumbledore (I suspect he's going to feel that someone's working against him, but have no knowledge for a good while as to whom - and even then he'll have a most difficult time believing it).

That old LSD* "drop-head" looks smarmier every chapter.
Good, poignant scene between Sirius and Petunia. Time travel sure does a number on vengeance...something from which it looks like Petunia and Albus will reap the just rewards. Good addition regarding the possible effect of prolonged exposure to the wards on the Dursleys. . . . *LSD=Lemon Sugar Drop

So Sirius got through all that paperwork, and now they won't let him take Harry? I'm guessing it has something to do with the horcrux in his head? I hope they can find a way to remove it.
I didn't think I would ever say it, but I'm glad Sirius decided not to punish the Dursleys. He's right. Those three hadn't done anything yet, and who knows how much of their hatred and fear were due to years under the influence of that stupid blood ward, fudged on purpose by Dumbles or not?
I can't wait to read more soon and find out what the hold up is exactly and how you plan to get around it. Thanks for writing. Take care!
