Oddly enough--not a West Wing fan, but this was a well plotted little ficlet. Buffy and Jack would be a pretty fun pair to see in office. :)

The only political detail I think you got wrong is something Buffy says but it's entirely possible she wouldn't know.

The January inaugural date only began with the 20th amendment, finally ratified in 1933. Originally it was March 3rd but that was felt to leave too long a gap for a 'lame duck' President and Congress to be in charge.
