Review of chapter "Chapter One" from
SelonianthReview:
While amusing in the way that she became so clumsy that she killed herself doing it...
Decent, for that part if nothing else.

Well if you sparkle in sunlight it is only logical that you would explode into a cloud of sparkly dust. Thanks for proving it!

Hmm.
That would need to be one sturdy stake for Bella to have successfully impaled herself on it, given that you explicitly stated that she does retain the 'rock-hard' vampyness of the Twilight setting.
Unless Dawn was carrying a stake made of petrified wood, or maybe Bella managed to fall in such a way that the normal stake was driven up her nose and into her brain by the weight of her falling body...?
Sorry, I pay attention to details like that, even in silly fics.
Comments from author:
You know, I wouldn't be surprised if Dawn had a stake of petrified wood, and when it comes to vampires I just assume their super-weak against any type of plant based object. I mean, shoving a small chunk of wood into a body isn't easy what with bone, and meat, and cartilage and the fairly small target that is the heart. It can be done, but the way Joss and crew showed Jesse falling onto the stake, and Willow and Buffy using a pencil -I'm willing to bet the Slayer with enhanced strength can pull these types of things off but the others? No.- that to my mind should have snapped upon the attempt... even Buffy vamps are supposed to be tougher than that.
So, my logic? Vampires have an unnatural weakness to wood. This weakness, in turn, transfers to Bella and while she may have granite level defenses against everything else, chopsticks will be her downfall.

Well if the Cullens sent Bella alone to a meeting with the Vampire Slayer then what did they expect? Or maybe that was the plan, after Bella wrecked all their stuff?
