I've recently become obsessed with this show and, I have to admit, I never thought of a Buffy/Barney pairing working, but you wrote it very well. Also, I love the whole suit in the bathtub thing.

Anywayyyy, this new chapter was GREAT!! I'm really liking the adding of Sam and how just because her and Riley are divorced she still is consider a part of the Scoobie family. Nice. I also liked the glimpse of the future with Buffy and Barney getting married (at least I think that's who is getting married, I guess it could be Faith and Ted...?). I loved the part between Barney and Buffy and his randomly showing up in Cleveland as well - it was adorably sweet. Aww.

Great idea for a story! Would be cool to see what was going through Barney's head during the time between Buffy leaving for Cleveland and him showing up on the doorstep.

On criticisms, the whole Then/Now thing is a little vague on timelines. That's ok if you were intending that, but some idea of how much time there was between chapter 1 and 'Then' in chapter 2 would be nice to have. A week? Few weeks? Months?

Also, we could use an extra hint or two that Sam was Samantha Finn (do we know her maiden name?), that was a little unclear. Just using her full name once could be enough to get it across.


The whole Robin/Robin ex joke is a weird coincidence too. Nice new story idea!

This is nice... even if it took them 3 years to properly develop the relationship. I'm liking the Buffy/Barney pairing. Barney is such a crack character just the other are on that show most of the time... that this really works!

I liked what you've written so far, even though Barney seems very un-Barney-like to me. Granted I haven't watched too much of 'HIMYM', so I suspect this is him being real and vulnerable with Buffy, which is super cool. Kudos.

Although, I admit that I am waiting for your other stories to be updated more. *coughs* The New Council *coughs*
