Lorne the Host can survive decapitation and dismemberment, so it wouldn’t be farfetched for Lorne to survive Sylar’s cranial vivisection the same way Claire Bennet did.

Perhaps Lorne’s precognitive visions could let him know Sylar “hungers for understanding” and allow Sylar to copy his song-based powers so that Sylar would have control over his hunger (like in episode "I Am Become Death"), freeing him from the Power That Be's manipulations as he wouldn't feel compelled to kill every superpowered person he encounters.

Sylar having Lorne’s song-based aura reading, empathy, and precognition would parallel Isaac Mendez’ precognition (“O.O7%”), Sue Lander’s lie detection (“Our Father”), and Bridget Bailey’s Psychometry (“One of Us, One of Them”).

Personally, I hated how the "Villains" arc retconned Sylar and claimed he had Empathic Mimicry like Peter Petrelli all along.

A interesting take on how things might develop, although Sylar would most definitely want to analyze and 'understand' the girls' Slayer abilities, since they're much more - useful.

Although I think he'd probably immediately rise to the top of the Scoobies' shit lists, if he did that to any of their Slayers.

It makes an interesting type of sense that Xander would be Gilad's son. I love to see what happens next. Niki and Micah showing up? Whoa. First Gilad and now Niki. I wonder if Peter, Hiro and the rest will show up. Not to mention Ivar or Aram. Things are beginning to heat up.

Have you checked out the new Valiant relaunch? There's a new Harbinger, Bloodshot, Archer and Armstrong, and X-O series out. They just started on the Harbinger Wars miniseries. and in the Archer and Armstrong series. Gilad makes an appearance. I love to see how Xander, the Scoobies and everybody else get involved in this. Great start keep it up.

No, I haven't checked out the new relaunch, since I pretty much gave up on comics for a variety of reasons a couple years back.

And this universe I'm describing isn't like any other one out there, since I'm combining elements from a number of different series. ;-)

EVERYONE in Sunnydale who survived was weird to a greater or lesser extent, so there has to be some reason to explain it all. ;-)

There was this awesome comic book about fifteen years ago, focused on the modern-day adventures of Gilgamesh, the legendary (prototypical?) super-strong hero of Sumeria. Valiant Comics had a great run of him, as well as one of his brothers, Armstrong (Aram Anni-Padda) and a sidekick named Archer.

This looks like an interesting story. I like 'Xander's real family' stories, but I don't recognize who his father is supposed to be. I like the idea of Xander having longevity and super healing. They may not be as fun as an active super power, but they come in handy with the actual staying alive part of being a fighter against evil. I am interested in seeing where this story will go.
