*snicker* A people allergic to our coffee plant! *snicker* That's just great! *snicker*
Please do me a favor and check over my challenges. I think that you'll be in for a surprise!
Edit: then do one of my ^other^ new ones!!!!!
edit2: those were the ^do not use^ fandoms!!!!! clearly I have to go in & untangle it again. *grumble*
Comments from author:
Well, what's harmful to other other people may not be harmful to us, so why can't it work the other way around too? *grins*
Have to admit that I was scared to look at your challenges, but now I did and all I can say is this: I'm not writing that! :p
EDIT: I don't know most fandoms in challenges. The one that speaks to me the most is your Award challenge. And damned, if I didn't already write something for that one. LOL

Humans adore chocolate, but it's a seriously nasty thing to dogs and cats. Not a total kill poison as is depicted, but it's not good for them AT ALL.
If you like a literary reference, in David Weber and John Ringo's "March" books (March Upcountry, March To The Sea, March To The Stars, and We Few) the humans on the planet Marduk had nanites able to convert some of the incompatible nutrients to things they could digest.. but not all of what they needed. It wasn't until a Mardukan with a penchant for residual poisons came along and tried to poison them and farm out the antidote that the largest vitamin deficiency was countered, really stretching out their supplements.
Not the stopgap antidote that was the only hope for a Mardukan taking the crap--the poison itself. Needless to say, they bought out the entire black market supply of the gunk once they learned that fact, before continuing their journey.
Comments from author:
That's what I figured: what's not harmful to us may be poisonous to someone else. Since this story's set in my "Coffee" series, coffee was the choice of poison.
Thanks for reviewing.

Giggle snort.... Only Buffy and SG 1 could get into that much trouble because of their caffeine addictions.
Comments from author:
Au contraire, it's a good thing that Buffy has such vast knowledge of all things coffee. This shows that you should never assume that what's harmful to you is also harmful to others.
Thanks for reviewing, crye!
