Review of chapter "Chapter One" from agnar
Review:
The inclusion/use of the stargate doesn't work at all here. Last time they used this 'portal' it put them in LA. But the stargate was NEVER in LA, so it being his exit point now, makes exactly zero sense and seems an arbitrary and annoying inclusion of another fandom.

So yet another story of yours that I am caught up in Hawklan.
Comments from author:

Won't SG1 be surprised to find interdimensional ravens in Sunnydale? And what will they do to save Xander and Samuel?

Review:
The idea is not really bad, but the rest...
The names of your characters do not really fit into Aventuria.
The interaction of the Aventurian deities with normal humans is completely out of character for them.
Boron is always depicted as a frail young man.
Level 22 is a little to high for a DSA character. Even Nahema is only level 21.
...
Comments from author:
Maybe, but that were the names I have given them as i created them years ago. And what is wrong with Praiphex? Which is a combination out of two of the gods, Praios and Phex.

Out of character for gods....yeah...if you can say that about gods maybe....but in the end this is based on our adventures in Aventuria and every Gamemaster changes facts to suite himself. Dimesional travel doesn't really fit into Aventuria as well per normal rules...yet it happened here and in out Aventuria.

Level 22? Yes..and I said it is highlevel.... but to high? Nope...sorry... if you look at the Adventure "Rausch der Ewigkeit" its up to Level 20 and if you play a character for years he tends to go up in levels. To Nahema yes her level is 21, but why should that say something? I havened checked the new rules, but as far as I know there wasn't a level cap in DSA.

And never forget some people see rulesbooks as a shrine you can't desecrate other see them as guidebooks.

Very nice beginning. Very nice indeed.

Since I'm a big Buffy-Stargate crossover fan, I'm hoping you plan on having SG-1 go to Sunnydale instead of being a cameo appearance. I guess the best way for them to get there is that when the amulet activated it radiated a unique energy signature (perhaps as a secondary effect only, it is after all magical) that was recorded and a satellite (improved detection based upon alien derived reverse [I believe 'back' for those of British heritage] engineered tech) detected the same signature when he arrived in Sunnydale. Please?

How often do you plan on updating? Just curious.
Comments from author:
because I like Star Gate myself quite well you will see them a bit more, you can be sure of that and to how often I update? I can't really say. I have a lot of open fics and my muse is kinda strange in that regards. Sometimes she let's me write several ch's for them all, start new fic's like this (as if I haven't enough) or doesn't let me write at all for ages. So I try my best to hurry, but no promises.

Review:
Now you are doing something extremly difficult my friend.
Putting a character from a RPG game inside a Fan-Fiction and not only any character but one you and only you have intimate knowledge of.
This is something most writer have done once or twice in their time. Some failed others succedded the key seem to be not to forgett the fact YOU know the character the readers do not. They need to get to know him.
The only thing more difficult to write i think are Self-insert.
Self-insert are difficutl as the writer either idolise him/herself make the Self-insert a allknowing allpowerfull and boring person.

The character IS in a way allready a version of the person playing the character. But the fact that most RPG are played on alien worlds in fantasy or SF background give you more to play with and make it more easy to distanse youself from the character in question. And thats the key i think in doing any type of self-insert distance youself from the character you are writing about.

The begining is promsing and i will eagerly read the rest.
And knowing how well you do write i know this will be a good story.

Sorry for babling so much. i have tried using characters from MY own RPG. many times and it never worked for me.
Comments from author:
thank you for the review Hatten and I have to agree, that won't be easy and I was intrigued by the challenge and so gave it a go. Sadly most High Level RPG chars are insanely powerful and so that will be quite the balance act. I have a few ideas where this should go, but have not quite decided on it yet. Maybe I go the mentor way or some other one. I will have to see where my muse will direct this story and then how to give out more info on the char, but I think my main focus will be on Xander and Faith.
