Review:

There could be so many reasons for that memory loss, from the purely physical - a bump on the head. To drugs that Walsh fed him, or magical memory loss via Willow if he saw something he should not. I wonder who else Charlie met in Sunnydale and what he learned?

There was a bump on the head involved, and it's the "official" explanation, though the amount of memory loss is more extreme than typically caused by a head injury. I have several different ideas of background for this, but I do know Charlie knows more than he said.
