Review of chapter "In potentia" from RebeccaAshling
Review:
Jerusha gets Chosen and she does darken Mr Giles' doorstep. With his blood. The Slayer kills monsters and he is a monster. That's just a dream she had.

Meant to mention, but keep forgetting to, the use of lyrics from the song "Windmills Of Your Mind" as story titles. It's a great song and highly quotable. I can only approve.
Comments from author:
Thank you. Yes, that is the dream. We'll get to the reality in the next time round.

I love windmills of your mind. And hearing it and thinking about a Vermont autumn, I realized the words of the series title match both Buffy's and Willow's hair. Which led me to write the first story in the series.

Review:
It was very interesting, but still confusing. It's obvious Jerusha is a slayer, or at least a potential. Yet the events written here are not described as occurring - rather, they are nightmares which haunt her. Now, they may be Slayer Dreams, which means they did eventually happen (or happened in the past). But we do not even know which nightmares actually happened, and which will happened, and which never will. And how that ties in with the rest of the story is quite unclear. I supposed we'll wait for more chapter for answers.
In any case, I quite liked the vivid descriptions, and the old style attitude, even ii (and perhaps because) it made me uncomfortable. It made it feel more realistic.
Comments from author:
Thanks, that was slightly the intention. Things will be clarified in later chapters that feature Jerusha. I must admit that it made me uncomfortable to write this, but Im glad it had an impact.

Review:
Hey,

the crossover was a nice surprise! I'm German, you see, and I loved Michael Ende's books when I was a child - and still do, especially 'Momo' and 'The Satanarchaeolidealcohellish Notion Potion' (also known as 'The Night of Wishes') What abot a crossover with one ofthem?

Thank you, I'm a great fan of Ende's work. I suggest you read the previously published parts of this series, especially Like a clock whose hands are sweeping.

Review:
Nice little story and so nice to see someone writing Kennedy without making her an evil bitch! Also nice to have Willow worrying about controlling the magic instead of portraying her as mega-witch-Willow who doesn't have to worry about such mundane things.

Well done.
DT.
Comments from author:
Ah, I fear you have not read the 'sequels' to this, the other stories in the series. I think Willow's progression from uncertain about her magic to all powerful is too quick.

Review:
In the comic "Goddesses And Monsters" Willow has a similar discussion with Kennedy about the difference between power and knowledge/control. As in this story, Kennedy didn't get the point either. I'm guessing we're going to get further snapshots of Will and Ken's failing relationship? Perhaps even an appearance by a certain skank by the name of Nancy Drew? I'm not a fan of the Willow/Kennedy 'ship but I don't mind finding out how it trainwrecked. No, it's not just 'cause K isn't Tara. Willow and Faith would have been a similar and much better 'ship in Season 7. Anyways, glad to see another fic in this Buffy/Famous Five/Narnia/Avengers/Wombles/Whatever Universe.
Comments from author:
This set of vignettes will be Willow Kennedy, maybe even the epic Willow/Buffy quarrel, with Ken-ken watching and smirking.

I always thought they hastened the relationship too much and 'assumed' Willow was entirely 'gay' despite her deep relationship with Oz. We shall see where the trainwreck ends up... A whatever will be up soon, as a prequel to the next story in the series, after A tunnel that you follow.

Review:
Intriguing. Very mysterious. This seems to be before the start of the series, since willow and Kennedy are still together.
The question, of course, is what The Neverending Story has to do with a book of magical spells. Willow accepted the fact she couldn't buy it. I doubt Kennedy would tell her the truth of the matter. Most likely she'll say she bought it. But what will Willow do with it? What danger lies in the book? Is it truly the primer of the Witch of the Isle? Or is it connected to Fantastica in some way? What exactly will happen to Kennedy and Willow as consequence? I can't wait to find out the answers.
Comments from author:
It is set before the start, it's one of the prequels. This is the Willow/Kennedy prequel Others will be up soon.

All your questions will hopefully be answered in the following chapters or stories.
