Review of chapter "The World We Saved" from SatanClaus
Review:
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but I did have a technobabble idea for explaining red sun radiation's effects on Kryptonians. It's like how artificial sweeteners can trigger starvation cycle metabolism in some people. It binds to some of the same receptors, so your cells are expecting a sugar, but it doesn't metabolize, so your body 'thinks' there's less food than there is, and switches to a higher efficiency metabolism while shutting down some other functions. In a Kryptonian, the cells detect the red sunlight, and shut down all the extraneous energy intensive pathways (which we would refer to as powers) in order to save energy for long term survival. It seems to make more sense than the non-explanation they've given over the years. Personally, I like the idea implied in Smallville and used in one Illyria crossover fic, that Kryptonian powers actually come from military nanotech, allowing any individual soldier to then be his own interceptor/gunship/tank.

Great chapters. Keep up the good work.
Comments from author:
Thanks very much. Progress on the next chapter is slow but steady. I am about two thirds of the way done with it.

"Oh, HELL no."
Right there with you, Ms Waller. Totally agree.
The whole bit with dealing with being Batman's prisoner (not creepy at all) and Barbara's sudden recovery were terrific though.

And... Dawn?? How, why, and... why this soon? Time must be moving at different speeds between worlds, because I'm pretty sure that there have not been enough seasons of The Adventures of Karen to match up with Buffy year 5 already.
Comments from author:
You are correct: right now, in Buffy-land, assuming an equivalent amount of time has passed, they should be about to start Season 3.

edit: in re: Ms. Waller
I think we can probably expect Ms. Waller to be back to her old self in short order. Mostly because The Wall isn't the sort to take shit from anyone, much less from mysterious reality alterations that inexplicably think she should be younger and skinnier, and will probably arrange to have someone like Doctor Fate change her back.

Excellent end to the chapter! :) I've been following this story for a while now and I'm still loving it! Hope that you can post the next chapter soon (though, you probably won't because it'll be a kinda long one, like always, and it'll be good quality too! Gotta make sure it's up to your own standards!) :D

Though, I'd love to see more of what happened to the DC Universe. And the ending kind of reminded me of the episode of Doctor Who that ended with showing Donna Noble in her Wedding Dress. It was great! Thanks for the chapters! :)

Right, she is the Xander of the Halloween episode, so he was no clue who Dawn is.

Thanks for the reply.

As for this chapter ... I seeeeee. I suppose it makes sense in a way. How do you protect the key to the barriers between universes safe from an insane hell god send her to superhero. Three problems though.

1) This Xander isn't going to remember her so hurt feelings on her part and with no explanation confusion and suspicion on Karens.

2) Given how they treated her Karen has a certain justification in refusing to help them out of their mess especially given the balance thing the Buffyverse seems to have going on.

3) A lot of Glory's power is mystical in nature and the super family is weak against that. Ben walks up, glory sinks her fingers in, result an insane supergirl.

Review:
Dawn... a Dawn Xander doesn't know, because in this reality he'd/she'd been turned into Power Girl and dropped in the marvel multiverse long before the Monks of Dagon did their universal mind-f**k to the Scoobies while inserting Dawn into thier lives.
Things are about to get (more) interesting, I see...

It's like falling down the rabbit hole and every turn is a mystery and every root is bad juju and they all hit you in the face as you fall past them. Yep, typical Xander SNAFU!

(Waves hand in the air.)

"This is not the Xander you are looking for."

Or Maybe it is. I just kinda assumed that its a alternate Dawn searching for a alternate Xander. But maybe she really does know him.

Looking forward to more!

Review of chapter "Interlude: Tohu wa-Bohu" from lunalurker
Review:
So, wow. This has been an incredible, and amazingly well done, juggling act you've pulled off here. If feels like you started off with a crossover, which had another crossover, and now with flashpoint your crossover's crossover crossed-over. Or something like that.
Yes, I admit I had to go back a reread and work through all the tangled continuity threads, which I imagine is much more the fault of the original comic story than your writing.
And thanks for keeping this series going, I've really enjoyed it. I may have a weakness for using fanfic to go back and try to fix this dark and mostly awful time period of superhero comics.

Why do people keep thinking about all these weird Deaths? The DC Death is Death of the Endless, Neal Gaiman's cute goth chick with an Ankh necklace!
Comments from author:
I will see your Neal Gaiman and I will raise you a Jack Kirby. :p

edit: the slightly longer answer is that Death of the Endless is, in fact, *Death*, yes. The Black Racer, on the other hand, is a god - a much lesser being - whose purview involves 'death as inevitability.'
