Susan is keeping them and Narnia out of the madness and peril of Slaying, I take it.
They're going to be very surprised after *The Last Battle* when they find Susan waiting for them. For that Matter, Susan will be surprised at first to be there.
But, as Buffy says in dsome fanfics, where do you expect a Slayer to wind up after it's all over with?
Comments from author:
Yes, she wants to spare them the horror of slaying.
In my mind Susan doesn't die until after the train crash (with her whole family dead she feels she doesn't have anything left to fight for. Or does she instead cling to the duty of a Slayer and forgoes the boys and parties and dedicates herself totally to her training? Hmmm...)
Thanks for the review!

I'm guessing part of the reason Susan won't talk to her siblings about important things anymore is that she doesn't want them to be too sad when she dies, which makes it all the more ironic that they die first.
And I like the idea of Susan clinging to the superficial because Narnia is lost to her, and Susan (like many Slayers) will take what she can have. Good work on this.

That's exactly what I was going for :) Thank you!

Lovely. I'd always identified with Susan, and had always felt betrayed when she was no longer considered a "friend of Narnia". I kind of wonder what Aslan's take on this would be. Food for thought.
It's a nice length -- very self-contained, but at the same time could also be the beginning of a longer work.

Thanks! I know what you mean, Susan deserves better. She was just coping the best she could. After being a queen of Narnia and then suddenly have it all taken away never to be returned. What would you expect her to too?
Aslan's take on it..... hmm... *thoughts buzzing around*
