This is great! I love the concept and you have done a great job with the execution. I love Xander and Kaine working construction, this is great. I love Kaine and Buffy, they work well together. Much better than Buffy and Riley.
I hope you continue this, I will be tracking!

Ah, this was a fun little story. The origin of the change somehow didn't seem rushed, but was done in a chapter, and the changes so far seem to make sense. I've enjoyed it!
*Checks the Horizon for possible updates before slumping* Nothin here sir, not but a bunch o' them dirty 'spirkly' vampires... no sir we are not allowed to kill them... yes i know it would make the world a better place... we be sent to our rooms if'n we do...
Interesting! Mixing up Xander and Kaine was inspired, usually most authors tend to be a bit repetitive and simply crossover the main characters without much thought as to how much sense it is.
But throwing a secondary or supporting character allows them to evolve and grow in directions that you normally don't get to see. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story and eagerly anticipating the reappearance of Miles Warren! I mean c'mon! They didn't even see if he got killed or not. He's got to be lurking around in the background somewhere. I do think that now that you have firmly established Xander and Kaine in the Buffy-verse, you might want to think about some other Marvel villains popping up now.

I guess since Buffy is sleeping with Kaine, Xander deserves to have some companionship too. I'm really interested in finding out what happened in Faith's dream because she was a little too calm from how she was put to sleep in canon.

As Sinister has seen fiction ideas pan out with the advance of science catching up, I can honestly understand Essex watching movies. We all need inspiration.
Spike probably wishes vampires did get brainstorms from their meals. (In a sense they do, the better fed a vampire is, the more the demon accepts the human mind and thinks rationally, which means Harmony will actually get smarter over time [much to Spike's relief, should he let her be long enough])
The horrible pun aside (Faith, the Spider-Slayer), it's good to see her up, even if I know this sets her squarely in the sights of the Sinister Initiative. (don't bother trying to forgive me for that one, I don't think I can forgive *myself*...)
Finally, is it at all possible that Walsh is some kind of biological relation to Essex?
