Review of chapter "The Graduation" from TheLandYacht
Review:
Incredible stories. I just managed to wade through both (that's 200k+ words) in two very-long reading sessions.

A few typos, but nothing that took me out of the story.

Keep 'em coming, PLEASE!

Utterly fantastic work! I am totally loving this series and I really wish there was more to read at this point...hint hint!

;D

Really? This is a spectacular series and I do hope that more comes along eventually, covering the entrance of the Pinto and other Allied jets into the conflict, leading through the end of the Second World War and events that lead to the epilogue of "Wasp."

Review:
I will repeat what I said in my review of Stingers. If you were to strip the Buffy references, this would be an excellent piece of stand-alone 'Alternative History' fiction.

My mind has been churning as I read this on ways you could do it... simple things like changing 'Slayer' to 'Stinger'... making Buffy's 'false backstory' real and toning down some of her physical abilities or taking a route similar to Turtledove's 'Guns of the South' and involving a time travel aspect where the 'Buffy' character travels to the past.

Anyway, I too have joined the throngs anxiously awaiting the next installment. I'd love to see Buffy and Barb put together the 'Zoomer Wing' =D

Oh, last thing, both stories are now on my rec'd list!

I've read & re-read this series a number of times and I still enjoy it immensely. If you are ever inspired to write another in the series I'd love to read it.

Review of chapter "The Graduation" from khagler
Review:
I just finished re-reading this series, and I'd like to encourage the author to continue it. This is one of the best series I've read, and definitely the best in WW2 fiction--including commercially published works. The end of 101st leaves a good setup for a sequel, and I'd like to read that sequel someday.

Review of chapter "The Graduation" from johng
Review:
So, I just finished reading both singers and 101st, and I have you say In still really enjoying this tale, and I really hope we get a part three... A couple of things have occurred to me though..the first being that given that Buffy is a bona fide hero now, does that mean that she's now named after her self? (she's named after a grandmother, who's named after the famous fighter ace...).
The second thing that occurred to me it's that Mr Gattling did actually make an electric version of his gun, and pitched it at the Navy. That managed 3000 rpm... In 1893.. not bad for refillable black powder cartridges..

Just re-read this series for the second time ;) it is still a joy to read and your characterisation is phenomenal.

I hope a third story depicting the use of Pinto's both during training and in theatre is still something you have planned for the future.
