Review:
Great backstory and Buffyverse-ing of the characters. I love the hints of how things are going to play out.

Review of chapter "Yellow Brick Road" from Gideon
Review:
Great chapter. It seems even Kurt has a family connection to the darkness. The last scene where they all meet up in the cafe is great. Very cute. Buffy is still suffering as the most quickly outed female sports coach in history and the others still don't like each other which is very realistic. I hope they use the opportunity of a low stress environment outside of school to talk truthfully and discover the heritage they share. If I am correct the only one who may not already know vampires are real would be Berry, right?
Comments from author:
Yes. Certainly not friends yet. A while to go before that happens. Rachel definitely doesn't know yet. Kurt thinks monsters are still just a story. Santana, Brittany, and Quinn know but... Quinn doesn't know that Santana and Brittany know but they know she does. Not too convoluted. :-)

Hey,

really like your story - but it can't end there! It's only just getting interesting!

Comments from author:
It did what it was supposed to do - introduced the five minions and their connections to the main story. It isn't really the end. There will be more stories in the series that follow this one. Just not in this format.

Review:
Wait, what? The end?? NOOO! These glimpses into the minions are too precious to stop. Surely there is more "there" there to tell of their lives seen sideways on.
Comments from author:
While I do plan on future glimpses into their inner lives, it'll be in a future story in the series.

Review of chapter "Yellow Brick Road" from Meneldur
Review:
Oh, excellent. I never liked Kurt much, but this made him interesting at least, if not that much more likable.
I liked reading his 'origin story', and his opinions on his opponents. I was interested to learn most of his ire is reserved for Santana and Brittany, which actually makes a lot more sense. Rachel is an opponent on a professional level. But Brittany and Santana are a real source of envy. He'd be even more jealous if he knew what a deep and real relationship they had, as well as supporting parents.
I wonder if Kurt's great-grandmother was a slayer, or if she was a watcher. Watcher seems more likely, unless she an extraordinary skilled slayer, to have lasted so long and have a child.
Enjoyed the banter he introduced. It's obvious Buffy still thinks Ken should be with Willow, and it's good to have more confirmation. What is going on there?
"at Satan's groan." - I assume this is intentional, and it's hilarious, just as Kurt's "Go with God, Satan" was.
So, they're about to have a meeting/discussion. Can't wait to see where this leads.

"which was why Mercede's crush" - Mercedes'
Comments from author:
The story of Kurt's great grandmother, a potential slayer, will make more sense as the main story progresses. It's all tied into what is going on in Lima that Sue Sylvester thinks she has figured out.

Mercede's vs. Mercedes... Yeah. I kept staring at that because it just felt wrong to write her name like that but I couldn't figure out why no matter how much I stared. Thanks. :-)

Review:
I love how you both started ended it with a light note; Puck wanting to be one of the Flying Monkeys is hilarious and sounds very much like him (it had me grinning for so long), and the speak of the devil moment in the end made me laugh. The insightful part in the middle was nothing to look down to either. I want to mention how great you are at portraying the characters; everybody's so like in the shows that it's easy to imagine the situations and the characters' behavioral in them. Thank you for the entertainment.

Review of chapter "The Dragon Hunter's Daughter" from Meneldur
Review:
Hmm, very interesting. I really like this Brittany, that's for certain. I wonder, what exactly is the story of the dragon hunter?
I love Brittany and Santana in this. It's better than the episodes. It's simply amazing, the kind of relationship they have.
I assume Brittany's dreams are Slayer Dreams? I do wonder who's going to join, though. Someone short? There are so many candidates.
The analysis into Buffy/Kennedy was interesting. I really wonder where it'll go. I wrote my thoughts on it already, so I won't repeat myself, but I do wonder how they're going to handle Willow and all.
So, Santana wants to go a-Slaying. Sounds fun. I wonder how Quinn will take it, especially Santana's knowledge of it and all.
Can't wait for more. 'Till then.

Sounds like a wide variety of skills in the group that Sue has picked for Buffy. Some will accept their destiny easier than others I bet :)

Review of chapter "A Very Berry Extravaganza" from PiedraLumbre
Review:
Good work on the backstories so far. I really like the extra layers you've added to their canon selves and the other side of Karofsky is pretty cool. I didn't see any errors, but I'm not an expert on the details of Glee, so I may have missed something. Looking forward to your next update, as usual.
Comments from author:
Karofsky jumping into this part was completely unplanned. But I really needed a character to bounce Berry off of who wasn't one of the main characters, who would provide a different hook into Rachel's "off camera" life while not normally interacting with her.

Review of chapter "A Very Berry Extravaganza" from Gideon
Review:
Interesting that each of them seems to know more about who they are and what they might become than the others would expect. And more than they realize they know - yet. It certainly seems like something big is coming together. I can't wait to see what Kurt's family background might turn out to be.
Comments from author:
Yes. The main characters are connected together in a number of ways. At some point, someone will have that Eureka moment and put things together, but not for a while.

Although I have Kurt's bit mostly mapped out, it isn't complete yet and probably won't be for a few more weeks. His background won't quite match that of the girls (Santana, Quinn, Rachel, and Brittany) since he isn't destined to be a slayer ( I'm very anti-male slayer!) but he certainly has an important role to play in what is coming. And not just as an observer like some of the other Gleeks.

Review of chapter "A Very Berry Extravaganza" from ScorpioP
Review:
Hmmm ... interesting. Rachel has been having Slayer dreams since she was young, and turns them into songs. Daddy works for a very big law firm -- it wouldn't happen to be Wolfram & Hart, by any chance?

Karofsky's appearance is fated -- obviously he and Kurt have a future. And that doesn't have to be that AU of a backstory; either it could be his mother's restaurant, or Paul is the "black sheep" who went into law (or whatever it is screen Karofsky does) instead of helping his brothers run the restaurant.

I love these side bits!
Comments from author:
Oops. I haven't actually seen the episodes Karofsky's father appeared or was mentioned in and I wasn't able to find any info on his profession so... if he's a lawyer in canon, this is an AU version of him who runs the family restaurant.

I really haven't decided what to do about Kurt. He won't be running off to Dalton (one of the AU changes I've made) so his meeting Blaine might not actually happen. So, sure - Kurt/Dave is a possibility but it's a bit remote.

Hmm... the law firm Rachel's father works for... not The Wolf, the Ram, and the Hart. Not a huge mystery but I don't want to give it away before it comes up in the main story in a chapter or two. :-). I will say that some of the characters are tied together in unexpected ways.
