Review of chapter "Epilogue: "There Once Was a Poet Named Jayne..."" from Oxnate
Review:
Ha! I've been saying that 'close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and thermonuclear weapons' for a long time now. Though, I like the addition of housework.
Comments from author:
Who needs precision when you're only gonna have to mop that same floor again in a week or two, anyway! :)

Review of chapter "Epilogue: "There Once Was a Poet Named Jayne..."" from Hecatonchires
Review:
Bent and fun. Semi-lethal dodge limericks sounds like a jayne and river kind of game :)
Comments from author:
'Bent and fun' -- that's an excellent description for some of what I enjoy most about Jayne and River. Thank you!

Review of chapter "Epilogue: "There Once Was a Poet Named Jayne..."" from (Current Donor)SamuraiCatFan
Review:
Semi-Lethal Dodge Limericks-OMG, ROFLMAO.

If Jayne and River were to do poetry, reciting poems while dodging the other's efforts to inflcit damage would definitely be the way they would do it.

Enjoyed this very much.
Comments from author:
Oh, thank you! :) It seemed appropriate somehow!

Review of chapter "The River Strikes Back" from Gideon
Review:
It is strange to see two people who obviously have such different views on poetry come up with such similar results. I don't know that River and Jayne would last long together but I can see them having fun while it lasted!
Comments from author:
Well, I reckon they're both due some fun, right?

Meanwhile, no comment from me on the similarity of their poetic results, since I suspect that's due to my limited (I cheerfully admit!) ability with writing 'poetry' that always turns out to be doggerel.

Review of chapter "The River Strikes Back" from RachelleRyan
Review:
Wonderfully creative. I really loved Janye's critiquing of Rivers work, hilarious.
Comments from author:
I just couldn't imagine Jayne NOT having an opinion or three or a dozen, since he usually has something critical or at least sardonic to say about most situations (and River DID make him feel extra vulnerable by managing to tuck her note into his gun-rack while he was sleeping mere inches away, so he's got to reclaim his sense of control somehow!). Love our grumpy ol' Jayne.

Review of chapter "Jayne's a poet, and River didn't know it" from (Past Donor)pinkhairedharry
Review:
love Rayne, can't wait for more
Comments from author:
Thanks so much! Rayne is definitely my favorite Whedonverse pairing, too. I'll see if I can come up with a third chapter, at least, now that River and Jayne have both had a chance to read the other's thoughts.

Review:
I do love a good Rayne story!
Comments from author:
Me, too -- and while my efforts probably won't qualify as a 'good' Rayne story, as long as it gives our favorite 'Firefly' non-canonical, voted-most-unlikely (but-really-when-you-think-about-it-their-chemistry-is-so-obvious!) couple a chance to dance around each other physically and verbally, I'm happy.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. It's always great to meet another Rayne fan!
